Great place to eat and drink! Good menu and choice of food and drink! The festive menu is great i had a mushroom Wellington and mulled wine which was delicious! Well priced as portions are large! The staff were lovely to chat to and very knowledgeable and attentive. The only thing that has brought my review down by half a star is that like alot of pubs nowadays the music is too loud too early in the evening and seemed to get louder which meant it was difficult to chat halfway through the meal. I wouldn't let this put you off though id highly reccomend eating and drinking here!

I absolutely love it here, I’m a regular here playing pool and getting drinks. Big props to Shaun the assistant manager for always greeting me with good vibes and welcoming atmosphere always jokes and smiles with all the staff! I definitely recommend this place highly

Incorrect food items delivered. Ordered cheese burger fries and received BBQ cheese fries - which they then just chucked the burger on top even though it shouldn’t have BBQ sauce? Also strands of hair in the food. Chicken strips with the wrong sauce and β€˜salt and pepper’ chilli chicken with next to no salt and pepper. Poor staff member absolutely ran off his feet and quite visibly under pressure but handled it well, was also super nice. Poor show Greeneking, standards have clearly went down the drain over the last few years and appears to just be getting worse. Having 1 bar member on quite clearly isn’t suitable for the business. Sort it out.

Well, how can I summarise this experience...they have a nice building at least. Ordered the big breakfast and after an excessive 35 minute wait it came out without haggis, black pudding and tomato and without butter for the toast. I complained and eventually got the missing items. However, the rest of the items were cold by the time all items were present. Shame. The food server was less than useless and seemed distinctly disinterested. Stick to beer at this place, food is a waste of time. Small caveat- I didn't have beer so cannot say how good it is. But surely it has to be better than the food. The food quality was pretty poor. Bacon and Lorne sausage rock hard, overcooked eggs and a number of beans I could count using two hands (guys, I know this is Aberdeen and we have a reputation for being tight, but come on, serve more than a level tablespoon of beans). One good point was they were very quick to offer a replacement or refund when I complained at the bar. Having seen the quality of the food I swiftly opted for a refund. Oh, one more positive...the diet coke was quite nice.

Nice place, food good & decent atmosphere, most bar staff really friendly. Would give 3.5 stars if i could. Knocked down due to the toilets being absolutely vile. No locks, toilet seats hanging off and stinks. Total difference to downstairs which is such a shame. Been here a lot so hopefully they'll improve asap.

Friendly and helpful welcome, even for our puppy. Good food and very reasonable prices. Quite noisy inside, but it is a Sports pub, but this was great for us because we didn't feel we had to keep the puppy quiet. Will come back when we are next in Aberdeen. And to top it Newcastle beat Tottenham!! (Don't worry if you can't get through on the phone booking system, there are plenty of tables, free parking at Golden Square on a Sunday) .
