   The staff here are friendly, but the service is really inconsistent. Even with bookings I’ve often had to wait ages — including on my bridal appointment. My most recent pedicure was very poor. The technician seemed inexperienced: gel was filed off instead of soaked, the callus and pumice work were completely ineffective, and the polish was messy and uneven (a colleague had to step in to fix it). Despite raising this twice, I was still charged the full £27. I left feeling like I could have done a better job myself at home — disappointing and not worth the money.

   I have been using Anh Nails for 2 years now and would not go anywhere else. Always friendly, always polite, always professional and always top quality services. I regularly have acrylics, infills and pedicures and could not recommend them enough. Nothing is ever too much and they will help/give guidance as much as you need it if you’re unsure on designs, colours, etc.

   Really happy with my nails although the man doing them could have been more chatty and checked in a bit more to make the experience a bit more pleasant and personal. My sister has found that her nails weren't filed enough so some were a little sharp/jagged and some were a little crooked. Since going again, had a really lovely experience. They were very complimentary about my nail design choice and did a great job. Going again today to get infills. This is my favourite nail salon in Newbury ❤️

   It was my first time having my nails done and Ahns seemed the best reviewed in Newbury. Unfortunately I didn’t have the most positive experience. I said it was my first time so wasn’t sure exactly what I needed to get, but thought I needed acrylics (I was wrong, I only needed gel). I had naturally long nails. The lady cut my nails off, so short that they have been really sore for a number of days now. During the filing she kept catching my skin, it was a very unpleasant experience. I’m not sure if that’s normal or not, if so then fair enough. But for me it wasn’t very nice as I didn’t know what to expect. They aren’t very friendly, not chatty at all. Never asked if I was okay, and only seemed to cheer up when I was leaving. The actual nails are very nice, just a shame I had my natural nails cut off. It made me quite sad when she cut the first one, but I didn’t realise what she was doing until it was too late. I’m sure they’re really nice, and it was just that I didn’t know what I needed that caused a problem. I also wanted a design on my nails but when I explained it ( I just wanted some white swirls on the nails, I thought that would be easy enough) they seemed a little irritated and swapped so another person finished my nails. Felt like I’d caused a problem so that wasn’t great either. For anyone who’s used to having their nails done I’m sure they’d have a nice experience. But for my first time, not knowing what to expect and not being given any advice on what I needed it wasn’t very nice at all. Gutted to have lost my natural nails as well. I didn’t say anything about this to them, I wasn’t sure they’d understand the problem so just said thank you very much and left. I like these nails, but I’m just sad they didn’t gel over my natural nails. I only learned they should have done this from speaking to other people who do nails, I’ve been told most places would suggest get on natural nails, rather to just cutting them off and not saying much about it. Live and learn. I’d reccomend them for their nail designs, but if you’re new to it then beware you will get no guidance, and filing hurts!! Haha
