Can’t fault kwik fit- Visted on Saturday morning 13th of December booked in for 9am for 4x new tyres and tracking When I arrived they had my car straight on the ramp and cracked on. Very friendly bunch!
Had 3 of my tyres cleaned and resealed as they were constantly losing pressure and I was having to top them up on a fortnightly basis which was becoming an annoyance. The guys at Kwik fit did it all while I waited within an hour on a Sunday morning which was much more convenient than another well known garage who wanted me to leave the car with them all day on a working day. Problem fixed now. Thanks Guys!
Due to damaging my tyre I had no option but to go here as the AA said it was the closest, I dropped my car off and asked them to ring me when it was ready as I was at work so could come in my lunch break, to which they agreed, this was on a Saturday when they closed at 5.00 pm but I didn't finish until 5.30. Come 4.15, no call, so I rang them, 5 minutes later they decided to answer the phone, I asked if my car was ready and they said yes and that i was told when I brought it in I could collect it when I wanted, which was obviously a lie as they tell ne how long it would be, only it would be ready later and they'd call me. When I mentioned this to the technician who served me when I collected my car he just grunted and gave me my receipt. If it had been just a flat tyre I'd have repaired it myself then gone to Costco , where the same tyres are cheaper and the customer service is far better.
Absolutely brilliant service we went in yesterday on our way home from holidays after calling at 2 other tyre places who refused to help and these guys just sorted us out thanks guys for your service. The two places that refused was Mr Tyre & National tyres shame on them
Avoid Kwik-Fit if you have a nice car and want it to stay that way! Two visits to Kwik-Fit Derby (Chequers Road) and two different experiences. The first time, the fitter was very careful while refitting my faulty - tyres (not supplied by Kwik-Fit) but came with my new car. On the second visit, to fit the replacement tyres, they damaged all four of my alloy wheels. I was contacted by their operations manager who would only admit to damaging one wheel - although 'graciously' he said that they would refurbish all four. This is on a new car, that entered their workshop in as new condition. They are 21" diamond cut alloy wheels. A refurb will not leave them as good as new despite their operation manager's assertions. If you have a nice car that you want to stay that way AVOID!!!!!
Big shout out to store manager for handling himself very well when a customer tried to jump the queue because her vehicle which was on the back of a lorry, needed work done as quickly as possible. Both the lorry driver and the owner of the vehicle put pressure on the store manager to get the work done despite the branch being booked out until the afternoon of the next day. The store manager kept his cool and maintained they would try their best to assist but he couldn’t guarantee they could accommodate because it was a very busy period and they were already booked out. He offered the customer the opportunity to try another branch or potentially a competitor to offer the customer a solution. The customer wasn’t happy she wasn’t bumped ahead of other customers and went elsewhere. The store manager did a great job to articulate the situation. As for the work that was completed on my vehicle, I had made an appointment online, purchased the requisite tyre online and had the type fitted promptly and at a high standard by friendly people who took pride in their work. I would definitely go back and I would recommend this establishment.
I don’t usually write reviews but felt that I had to because I cannot fault this Kwik Fit branch at all. I took my car in for a new tyre, wiper blades and an MOT. There were a few technical hitches so to speak, but I was kept informed every step of the way, they bent over backwards to make sure that everything was done and my car passed. I need to give a special mention to Adam, he was amazing! I would absolutely recommend this Kwik Fit, all the lads are a great bunch. I will definitely use them again and I never say that lightly. Very professional service, good value for money and amazing staff.
Only needed a bulb change and wiper blade replacement. Dropped car off at 9.30am and all done by 1.30pm. Close to City Centre, so if you'd rather not wait you can walk into town for food, etc. There is a waiting area, though.
I know these fast fit places get some poor reviews at times, so I've reviewed my experience with them. They replaced a couple of tyres - booked online using a black Friday code after I found they were the cheapest in Derby for the tyres I wanted. I'd recommend booking in advance as people walking in off the street were looking at a good 30 minute wait before their car was looked at. Great service in that they torque and pressure checked all 4 corners, not just the wheels they touched. I opted for the free alignment check as the tyres had worn on the edge - the manager showed me the results screen and explained what was out of tolerance. There was no hard sell and the cost was given upfront. Would recommend....
