So, my excitement about attending this clinic was high as all the reviews I read were extremely positive. I had recently moved house into the Romsey area but unfortunately I had developed a severe toothache between leaving my old dentist which was based in Portsmouth (to far now to travel) and seeking out an alternative. Heatherstone hit the radar, so off I popped in pain, I reported my condition to the receptionist who said they could not see me, I asked about the pain, she said, because I had the consultation appointment 7 days later that he could see me then, but nothing was advised. I then suffered this for a week filling myself with controlled pain killers. The day arrived to attend, I explained my pain, he did the usual consultation thing, took full x-rays and saw my problem with this tooth and revealing another issue with one of my front teeth. Booked another appointment a week later, still in agony and no sympathy or treatment. A week later this tooth was extracted (what a relief) but then developed a severe infection and had to go to an emergency dentist over the following weekend (had it out on the Thursday), who confirmed the infection, carried out some corrective treatment and provided a weeks worth of antibiotics. It was agony, face up like a balloon. They sent the report back to Heatherstone and I heard nothing. The other issue with my front tooth they said they couldn’t do ( they cancelled) , when I did go back they said even the specialist wasn’t prepared to tackle it. They then said they would outsource my issue and provide recommendations by email, but guess what, yep you got it, heard nothing and still not heard anything today This cost me a lot of money for this anxiety and pain. Happy to say I have now found an alternative dentist who has provided a standard of treatment and hygienist care that I am more than happy with. Thank you Heatherstone for your empathy and lack of understanding or concern.
I recently joined the practice and am really impressed with the service I have received. The receptionists are all very helpful. Julia the dentist was very thorough in the check up, giving clear explanations of the treatment I needed. I had a filling and Julia was very caring, constantly checked if I was OK. Thankyou.
I had a filling that came out at lunchtime and phoned Hannah to see when I could come along. Excellent service as saw Julia Gill with Sarah at 2pm who put another filling in and it was so good to have this seen to quickly. Thank you so much and I am being very careful. Fantastic dental surgery. After registering as a new patient, having avoided the dentist for almost 10 years, I’ve been more than pleasantly surprised by Heatherstone Dental Practice. The initial sign up, with online forms that were simple yet thorough were easy to complete. Upon arrival, the reception team were welcoming and attentive. Then, the dentist herself was brilliant. Karen made me feel very at ease, no judgement for my lack of dental appointments over the years. She explained at each stage exactly what she was checking for and then simplified any dental jargon when required. It isn’t the norm to enjoy a dental visit, but Karen and the rest of the team made it so I did. I would thoroughly recommend Heatherstone to anyone.
Really good dentist. I’ve been coming here for over thirty years. You can always get an appointment and they are professional and reassuring when feeling a bit anxious or worried.
I am a patient at this practice, but had an emergency filling problem. I was able to be seen actually on the same day and rung promptly so I was able to attend. Brilliant and afficient. Being a nervous person, I was put at ease. A very positive experience.
I cannot recommend this surgery enough. I was so nervous about coming to the dentist, so much so that on many occasions I would cancel my appointment despite being in pain. I joined only two months ago and have had a few appointments so far and I can honestly say I experienced no pain and at every step Julia ensured that I wasn’t in pain and was ok! Julia and her beautiful dental nurse assistant (sorry I can’t remember her name, pippa?) was just amazing! So thank you
As always, all of the staff at Hearherstone Dentist were superb! Karen H gave a reassuring check up for myself and my son and further work was clearly explained and booked. This work was completed a week later by Karen, who had taken extra steps to allay a wee bit of anxiety I had and the procedure was carried out quickly and efficiently-as always. Would 100% recommend Heatherstone dentist practise....and have been a patient there for 45 years!!!
