   Took my 87 yr old mum there to do her shop. A cornucopia of ready meals from good ol English to exotic curries. Lovely bakery too and all the other niceties you expect from M&S. Convenient location and free parking too. What a little piece of paradise!

   M&S food rocks. The food is premium, admittedly at higher prices to budget supermarkets but allows for indulgences. Yet at the same time not as expensive as Waitrose.

   I went in at 7.50pm and there was other customers still shopping in there. I was choosing my bread and a very rude member of staff got in my face and told me the store was closed and that I need to leave now. I was taken quite back by this as I say there was other customers still in there. She was working on the bread/cake section (not sure if she worked there directly or if she worked in all the store.) When I went to the till, the other members of staff was very polite to me. Just one member of rude staff ruined it for me.

   Decent sized food hall located in Lower Earley on opposite side of road to Asda. Car parking is limited and tight. Might better to park at Chalfont Pavilion car park and walk. They have new self service tills which where problematic when we visited. This store also takes crinkly plastic. This is a container at back of self storage area.

   It’s M&S. It’s M&S food. It’s quality. This is a cool little bastion of quality food on a small retail park. Good selection. Easy shop. Fast moving check out. I bagged some salmon, beef burgers and an orchid terrarium (how can you not like that little puppy?)

   They started enforcing face mask tyranny and git rid of manned pay points, instead they have those God awful self checkouts that keep erroring and requesting permission from staff to do anything. Took me 2 minutes to pay for a banana absurd!
