   Smaller than the Kempshott Sainsbury's but still has a good range of food. Perfect for picking up a small shop on the way home from work, or snacks on the way in. Close proximity to Basingstoke Railway Station and Bus Station is an added bonus.

   Awful customer service... waited at self checkout to be authorised for an energy drink, no staff on the tills but several around. Ask for help from 3 different staff members over the space of 3 or 4 minutes whose only response was "Oh it should be Larry here"... Larry was not here, Larry was nowhere in sight, and the 3 staff decided that was the ONLY thing they could say or do, not to help the now 4 Larry-less tills waiting for staff... but to just walk off... Larry eventually showed up, seemingly of his own volition...

   Hi just popped into this store today, was served by a lady on checkouts. I brought a taste the difference pizza ,which is had a code for from Sky, she replied you can only use it in SUPERSTORE. So I went overto the customer service and young lady said I can use it, she was so kind thanks to her I got my free pizza from Sky. I got home looked up this store and it clearly states its a SUPERSTORE. The lady in checkout needs to be aware it is a Superstore.

   Sainsbury’s Basingstoke is one of those supermarkets that manages to cover just about everything under one roof. It’s a decent size, well-stocked most of the time, and the layout is fairly logical — once you’ve worked out their slightly quirky way of arranging certain aisles. The fresh food section is usually reliable, with plenty of choice in fruit, veg, bakery, and meat. Prices are what you’d expect from Sainsbury’s — a little higher than Asda or Morrisons, but often better quality. Their own-brand ranges are strong, and there’s usually a good selection of meal deals and discounts. Staff are generally helpful and polite, though at peak times it can feel like there aren’t quite enough tills open. Self-checkouts are plentiful, but like all self-checkouts, they love to throw a tantrum the second you so much as breathe near the bagging area. Parking is straightforward with a decent-sized car park, and the store also has a clothing section, homeware, and an Argos inside, which makes it a handy one-stop shop. Overall, Sainsbury’s Basingstoke is a solid choice — clean, well-run, and dependable. Not always the cheapest, but for convenience and range, it’s hard to fault.

   I don't normally leave bad reviews like this but this member of staff was unnecessarily rude for no reason whatsoever. I needed help on self service, I waved and I thought she didn't see me as she walked away and was putting stuff in the bin and so on, I wave again and she still doesn't seem to acknowledge me and she continues walking around. I wave a third time and say 'hello' and she goes to me 'yeah I've seen you, just wait' and then continues to move stuff around. I would really appreciate if your staff didn't completely ignore you and then give you a passive aggressive response when they can finally be bothered to verbally acknowledge your existence. Maybe she was having a bad day or she's fed up with work but that shouldn't be my problem.

   Accessible since its located on the Entrance of "the mall". Wide selection of grocery shopping needs and more. Cashier was just rude to me one time, so im giving 4 stars

   Has all of the basic daily necessities. Also has a coin machine which you can empty all of your 1p + 2p coins into, saves a lot of time if you have a great big bottle to count up. ( It does take roughly 10% of your total) and gives you a choice to exchange for cash or donate to charity.

   Good shop to get about anything. I mostly come here to get stuff for lunch and breakfast, so I don't know how it is for supper and other things but the shop itself is reasonably large. Yoghurt bars and few other items for meal deals are a highlight! Why are there no chocolates eligible though?
