What a mess they made of a simple exchange for a larger size kids dressing gown that we bought on Saturday and then returned on Sunday as the wrong size hanger was put on the one we bought. I went to the returns desk and this is where it all went wrong first person at the till said that the larger size was £2 extra which although annoying I said that's fine but he said he would ask a manager for approval first to see if they could waive that fee fair enough I waited then he couldn't get anyone to come asked his colleague who in all honesty was in no fit state to serve he then proceeded to scan the item again saying that my receipt was wrong I said it wasn't then once a manager did arrive and tried to explain to him it was the right receipt he then told me I owed £7.50 I said no I'm not paying that much extra. Then again telling me wrong receipt it was an absolute clown show the manager again told him no its correct I just need to pay £2 I said to them what's going on this is taking 20 plus minutes for a simple return I paid the £2 and left I won't be shopping here again.

I had the best experience with Adam in the men’s suit department at M&S in Reading! He was incredibly enthusiastic, friendly and genuinely went above and beyond to help me pick out the perfect suit for my boyfriend. His customer service was outstanding – he made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable. Adam listened to what we wanted, offered great advice, and his attention to detail was amazing. Couldn’t have asked for better support. Highly recommend Adam if you’re looking for suit fitting – he’s fantastic!

I am a regular shopper. On a hot day nice & cool but can get a bit cold. Have lots of different areas chilled, frozen, refrigerated- a bakery section, Fruits veg, flowers, wines & beers, frozen, meat, fish, deli, organic etc. It is quite big & spacious which I like. I have not taken pictures but will soon. Yellow stickers for reductions bring the price down. Self checkout with help & staff checkout. Sell clothing men, women & children. Also homeware, bedding, towels. There is a cafe as well. Also toilets but not great. Offer currency exchange. There is another small M & S at the train station.

I like the selection of M&S compared to most stores but if you’re non-white and a POC, don’t bother. The staff will go out of their way to make sure you know you’re not their target audience. Even when I approached the manager to ask why I got followed throughout my shop, I was responded with “they’re allowed to follow you and it’ll take a lot for them to follow someone, so you must have done something”.

The Marks and Spencer’s in Reading is one of my favourite and most well known store. The quality is always good and no compromise on it, however prices are really high for vegetables and fruits. Recently there is a big jump in price of food items. I could see almost around 30% average of price increases in the food sections on most of the products. I totally agree that the quality is always high, however the jump on price is too high. Still I like this shop a lot

Super to shop here. Always neat and tidy whether in the Clothing section or the Food Hall, good quality products. Must admit to never being a fan of M&S ( pop in and out without actually buying anything) but lately I've taken a closer look and have bought items from the Clothing/ Food Hall which I've found to be reasonable priced and good value.

Love this shop, you can buy food, flower, clothes, home staff, cosmetic staff, exchange currency, little bit expensive that normal, but good quality. Customer service is ok, not to high standard. It is located in Main Street in Reading town. It is two level of shop. There are three entrance in front, back and side door.

Marks and Spencer on Broad Street is one of the larger chain stores. Normal format womenswear and food downstairs with menswear and furnishings upstairs. This store has recently revamped a bit and the lower and upper floors are less densely packed with products. Somehow feels emptier. The menswear is pretty good though. Good shirts, good suits, good jackets. And pretty decent knitwear, come on us older guys have to have a bit of knitwear every now and again. Also you can’t really go wrong with the underwear and socks. The food hall is quite large and M&S food is quality (if slightly heavier on the calories…). You also get a decent fresh cut flower and plant section here. Self serve checkouts in the food hall make it a breeze. I like this store and always come in here on a trip into town. It’s M&S - what’s not to like?

Excellent location. Convenient and large, with especially amazing selection of beers, coders, wines and liquor. If you have any favourite flavour or brand. Chances are good you’ll find it here, paired with rare and unusual crisps. Produce and meats are fresh and plentiful, staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of self-checkout lines really cut down on waiting times. The only downside is the price - slightly higher overall than other stores in the area, but worth it for the quality and sortiment.
