Hi, i went into coop in arborfield berkshire today around 7pm 18.11.25, with my daughter and son on law, and asked on the off chance if there was any way i could use their toilet, as i have a weak bladder, after a few moments a store worker came up to me and told me i wasn't allowed in the store and to leave !!!! As you can imagine i was extremely shocked, as I have no idea why I wasn't allowed in the store, when I questioned it, by saying excuse me, I was again told to leave. I have no idea why I was spoken to like that by a store member, if that is how staff are trained in customer service then I will not be shopping in any coop again, I was made to feel like a criminal, it is disgusting behaviour by any staff at any store, if I spoke to my customers like that I would expect repercussions, I have been in retail for over 30 yrs, and am also a coop member. I have given the 1 star rating as no option for zero stars

Long-term staff who have been here since opening are absolutely brilliant, newer staff seem lost and uncoordinated. You're likely to wait for a while before they notice you're trying to pay at the till, and very often I see NO staff at all, just the security guard. Stock levels are much much better now and 9/10 I can get what I'm looking for. Prices are mad, I only use this shop for last minute things and when I only need one or two things. Mind you with the sainsburys nearby too, I'm more likely to go there. The long opening times here, however, do help.

The worse Co-op ever, I ordered some stuff from the website and it says they do delivery and even charged me up for delivery and the delivery time says from 4pm to 6pm your order will be with you, I waited till after 6pm called them and they said to me that they don't do delivery through the website whilst the website said they do delivery and they charge me up for it and when I cancelled the order the woman said I will get my refund next week. It's been 4 days now and I called the co-op yesterday some woman answered my call then hang up the phone on me , They didn't pick the phone up again the entire day.

The store is fully stocked with a wide range of items similar to any other coop. The staff is friendly and accommodating, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Shelves are empty a lot of the time, they are always out of essentials like bread/milk/butter/eggs when we visit, the staff are lazy and ignore you waiting to queue or are out in the carpark smoking with the side door open that stinks out the shop, they expiry dates on the items are completely past and we have picked up out of date items several times, one member of staff nearly dropped a pile of cardboard boxes from a cage on my 9 month old baby in her buggy, staff don't challenge the local tea leaf lot who nick things and the lack of actual price deals really do not give customers the incentive to keep shopping there. All in all, most staff are rude, lazy or just plain stupid, the stock is horrendous and the staff do not rotate the stock properly which has resulted in many out of date items being purchased by customers in a rush.

Over 1 year on and there's still stock issues. Staff rely on the self service tills. Meal Deals are impossible as theres never any stock. Unless you need tinned foods dont bother negotiating the terrible entrance and pointless car park.

No one is ever at the till... Even if they see you waiting most of the time you will actually have to call their attention, not professional in the slightest

Don't buy the "so called" loyalty card. It has a fee for membership and then can't be used at most of the other local Co-op's ( a different society apparently - dispite all being branded "Co-op"). When we complained to head office we never received a reply.

In an area that badly needed a new shop, this is a total disappointment. Think you can walk in and find something nice for your dinner? Not a chance. The shelves are always empty. Totally unreliable with their stock and I won’t bother going back in.
