Love M&S foodhall. Lots of fresh and pre-made choices. This location always very busy, which probably says it all

Went to the M&S Foodhall Woodley to get some ready meals for the M/law and it's a great foodhall with a wide selection of foods but the ready meal section does not have a very wide selection.

Scan and go is not really, scan and go if every time you shop and pay in the app, and are about to leave, the security guard blocks your exit and asks if you have paid on the app?!!! And the manner is rude and accusatory! So humiliating and frustrating. Once in a while, I understand. But every time?? I have taken to just putting my mobile phone up at the security guard before he asks. But I shouldn’t have to do this every time! Is anyone else having the same issue?

I visit here most often to collect or return clothing ordered online. I will often check their wine offers, though they are almost always not as good as those at Waitrose or Tesco. Yesterday my target was to buy some Maple Syrup. I have a pretty good idea of the general layout of the store, but could i find the Maple Syrup? No! There were no members of staff to ask, no enquiries desk like the one at Waitrose. Then I had a brainwave, look for Jams. Eventually I spotted a sign hanging over an aisle in the corner, bearing the word, Jam. There is a small srlection of jams and similar products, but no Maple Syrup. But wandering round the corner, on the end of the aisle, Bingo. There it wss at the very top. The first bottle was well set back from the front and i had to reach it. I could find anything else to buy, so paid, popped it in my pocket and headed home.

I recently visited the M&S store and had a genuinely wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, the store was clean, well-organized, and inviting. The layout made it easy to find everything I needed, from fresh groceries to clothing and home goods.

Very well placed. Good food but expensive. ample parking but gets busy at lunch. Would recommend for a friday lunch one off. Convenient for stopping on the way into reading or back out. Quiet in the mornings

My faith in one of the institutions I've always relied upon was shaken today. We went into M and S to buy something for a quick dinner. Saw the '3 for £10' meal offers, took 3 items off the shelf and went to check out. Came to £13. The cashier advised that one of the items I had taken was not included in the offer. Went back to the shelf and there was the offending item with a massive sticker underneath saying 3 for 10 offer. Very upset as this was felt to be deceitful. I was advised the stacking format was company policy and it was necessary in choosing an item then to check it had a small sticker on it saying it was included in the promotion. Even more I felt the standards that M and S could be relied upon to adhere to were now being set aside. I took a picture of the cabinet and the more I look at it the more I feel it was set up to deceive. The items above the large sign are not included in the offer.
