   Awful dreary small store compare to others. Always long queues, and people who block the narrow aisles, oh and you can get out without buying something. I won’t be back to this branch in a hurry.

   The worst shopping experience. Miserable staff, food on the shelves that's going off and a dated shipping experience. if you love to queue this is the right place to come 15 people queuing at each of the 2 checkouts and no staff.

   Bakery tends to be ok, although always running low on things when I tend to visit. Its clean and tidy in general. They do however leave mold filled fruit and veg on the shelf... not the little on its way out kind but full on fluffy slipper style growing on it. Always has long ques and could ideally do with having more staff on tills or at least staff that have a little hustle to open a till when needed.

   I’ve always loved Lidl for its fresh bread, baked goods, and especially the doughnuts — they’re hard to resist! Whenever I spot a Lidl, I’m usually tempted to pop in for a quick treat. The Basingstoke branch has many of the things I enjoy: friendly staff, a clean and well-stocked store, and a great bakery section. However, one downside is that there are often long queues, and unlike other locations, this store doesn’t have self-checkout tills, which can be frustrating when you're just grabbing a few items. It would really improve the experience if quicker checkout options were available. Still, for the quality of the baked goods, it remains a go-to stop — just be prepared to wait a little during busy times.

   I'm disabled and struggle at the check out. The young man who served me today was really lovely. He went slowly for me and didn't tut or roll his eyes. He also stopped when I needed a couple of seconds break.
