   Just came here to buy a rice, enter politely and ask specific type of rice and the store owner didn’t even look at me. Found the rice, paid for it. Did not even get a receipt. What a jerk.

   Can only assume the negative reviews are written by competitors or the utterly entitled because this is a lovely little family-run shop, owner has always been very polite and helpful. Slightly pricy but the best selection this side of Highfield.

   I can’t believe how rudely they behaved when I went in. That was first and last time I went into this shop. They are absolutely racism. I am not chines. I was asking one of the seller that do you have egg nodules and the other one came and whispered to her ear something and after that they both left me! When I said that is so rude one of them was like what you are talking about?!! I can’t believe they don’t know how to behave like a nice seller and be good to other people even if they are not Chinese and they stay in the shop. That’s awful!!

   Awful , lady was sweeping floor and picking bits off of a broom with her back turned to me. My partner and I realised it was intentional after 30 seconds or so stood waiting to be acknowledged. The Gentleman in shop is ok .

   No wonder got so low rating. Rude, unwelcoming and overpriced. Everyone should avoid this store completely. There are other stores that sell the same thing in Southampton, maybe a bit hassle to go but I think it is worth to go other stores rather than giving life to this fouled business. You should consider all the comments before mine, and go to other stores unless you are happy to be humiliated by the people in this store.

   Incredibly rude woman working there, worst customer service have ever experienced. I tried to return miso paste that I bought there that was out of date but they refused to refund me as I didn’t have a receipt- they didn’t give me one when I bought it at the time. Avoid at all costs. I’m only giving two stars because the guy who works there (possibly owner) is very nice- god I pity him if that’s his wife

   Very rude lady, unhelpful and unwelcoming. Made me leave my bags near the counter,have had 2 horrible experiences here when I was pregnant. Sukee next door is better.
