Good parking if you go nice and early. The atmosphere in the store: people rushing around with worried faces and shoppers mainly browsing but not buying. When I was about to leave the store- remember where you entered- I noticed a man following me wearing shorts, red shorts in winter. I looked back, he went another way but came after me again that is when I stopped and he disappeared. As I was walking to my car, pushing my trolley, another male came quite close to me from behind, when there was plenty of space, sniffing loudly. My gut feeling kicked in.Luckily, an everyday man was coming to our direction and the sniffing man left quickly. So, lone shopper ladies be very careful. It is Southampton, close to the docks, and if you watch the news regularly and maybe Dr Phil podcasts, you might be aware of kidnapping and trafficking of females. Would I come again? I didn't feel safe, therefore my answer is no. Also watch the bakery products because the way they are put out it is not hygienic. Putting baked, uncovered produce right near the passageway, where hundreds of people pass by! Where is food safety and food hygene? Cover your produce or put it some place else. No eccles cakes.

Excellent food shop, and sensible well made clothes. M&S set the standard when it comes to towels and bed linen. Feel guilty about buying from M&S because of their links to Israel and the genocide that's going in Gaza. Probably shouldn't shop there these days?

This is a fairly nice clothing shop and its easily accessible with multiple entrances, lifts and escalators. The stock is always pretty high quality and the returns process and pickup process is very straight forward and easy so no need to worry if you order the wrong size. There is 2 cafes which have nice food at pretty fair prices and a large food section which is new and nicely made and there is plenty of fresh food with a bakery, a pizza section and more. Would recommend

Beautifully styled store with the goods well displayed and presented. Lots of room around all the merchandise . Probably the best M&S I've visited. Good cafΓ© upstairs. Toilets spotlessly clean. Didn't use the foodhall but the fruit & vegetable looked very appealing.

This is a really fantastic M & S to visit. Everything is so well organised and spaced out. Plenty of clothes and lots of beautiful looking food, nice and modern fresh looking style. There is a cafe, also a nice place to sit to get fresh pizza in 5 minutes, and it was lovely! Quite a jem even for a quick visit to be honest

Above and beyond customer service in the wine department today! We had been watching the Saturday kitchen show and they recommended a certain white wine from M&S.. so off we went to find some! We didn't see it on the shelf and a male member of staff was so helpful, he used his phone to watch the programme to check which wine it is, then checked stock and availability, sadly they had sold out but he was then very knowledgeable along with another member of staff and they recommended an alternative to us. It was very obvious that they know their wines and we thought the service was brilliant!

Recently purchased 2 overcoats from M & S, online. A huge mistake. Both were order at the same size, but arrived completely different in size fitting. The sleeves were ridiculously long and best suited to an orangutan, not a normal human. When asked Customer Service, and a local store, if M & S can do alterations, I was told, yes, no, I don't know and finally that they only do suit measurements by appointment. This is not the first such encounter that I have suffered. What an utter shambles M & S have become. Staff are very poorly trained and lack knowledge. Not their fault, it is the rot at the top leaching downwards. Several years ago, I purchased an overcoat, in store, and was able to have it altered by the store, for a reasonable charge. Fantastic service, which is no more. M & S is dying thanks to bad management. M & S RIP.

Visited the store this morning and it was very quiet which was both unexpected and brilliant as we had plenty of time to look around at all the Christmas food ideas. Great range of wines too. Plenty of Percy pigs around if they are your thing as well as gift ideas. Great to see the wine tasting station as well as fill your own cereals and nuts as well as a coffee bean selector and self fill. Pick your own eggs too. Plenty of choice and all really well laid out which you can only really appreciate when the shop is quiet like it was today. Great to explore but don’t go when it is busy.
