Everything about this shop is just a little bit nicer than you expect, from the quality of the produce to the diversity of the stock. The staff, too. I'm just a seasonal visitor, I go there for a treat and it never fails to be just that.
Always a pleasure to go to McCarthy's. Excellent quality fruit and veg and much much more.
Always well stocked. Interesting products. Variety. Can usually get a £1 bag of stuff like cauliflower or mushrooms past their best to make into soup or stir fry. We come here at least weekly. Love it.

Did a shop for an elderly relative, who initially said you can't buy tomatoes from a supermarket... This place had everything you could need, and more, including pet animal feed. Shop layout is neat and tidy and not cluttered... Nice and friendly staff.
I have been visiting McCargthy's with my parents decades ago.. It's now our local shop and the fruit and veg quality has always been a very high standard at reasonable prices. So much choice plus loads of options to pick up missing items for your meals.
I ordered flowers for our wedding anniversary and when they arrived the arrangement was beautiful! The colours were exactly as requested and it's now over a week since they were delivered and they are still gorgeous. Excellent service and very reasonably priced
Always has shelves stacked with quality & fresh vegetables. Not overpriced like some either. I would say it’s the best in the area for sure! Lots of variety. Thank you! :-)
