I was involved in a complaint which ended up unnecessarily in the hands of the Legal Ombudsman because of Davidson-Smith’s poor handling of my complaint - poor handling which included not responding to 4 requests for their Client Care Document which formed part of their Complaints Procedures (it was never sent); ignoring emails and phone calls related to the complaint; lack of clarity and transparency in their complaints process and, worst of all, losing my documentation. With the Ombudsman’s help I was able to recoup the fees I requested, but, the unprincipled performance of this firm, which struck me as lacking in care, fell well below what I would expect from a professional company.
I cannot thank Michelle and the team at Davidson-Smith enough. From my first appointment, Michelle and the team were exceptional, and friendly which has been a great benefit for someone who has in the past steered clear of solicitors for fear of being overwhelmed by legal talk.
