   If you’re looking for a lovely spot in the heart of the New Forest, this is definitely one to try. Although it’s located on the A36, once you’re inside the property the road noise disappears completely. We stayed in the Nomansland Suite, which was perfect for our four-day stay. It included a comfortable double bed, bathroom, fridge, and kettle, and the room was cleaned daily. The host who greeted us was very friendly and suggested lots of great things to do nearby, which was really helpful. There’s plenty to do in the area, whether it’s a walk to the local pub or a short trip to the beach. The views are beautiful and really add to the experience. Highly recommend this place for a short getaway.

   Convenient location for my road trip (it's on a main road and easy access). Overall, it was somewhere to stopover for the purpose of resting and sleeping. It is made clear that breakfast (and dinner) is not offered, so I prepared by shopping en route. Resting: the bathroom was clean but had a damp smell about it. My main reason for staying was to get some sleep and this was the worst part; I was kept awake by movement on the floor above due to the creaking floor. The extractor fans for the rooms either side of me were audible as was anyone walking past the room. This place did not give good value for money and you would expect more for the price charged. The front door is on a combination lock and there is no lighting to help you see the numbers you need to press in order to enter the property. It was raining and dark so next to impossible to see what you needed to do in order to gain access. On leaving you are expected to leave the room key in a basket which means anyone could help themselves to whatever they wanted from the room you've just stayed in.

   Arriving in a July heatwave at 6.30 pm, I rang to ask how to work the cooling machine and to request ice for it as, despite the sign, there was none in the 'fridge. I was told that the ice for it had "run out". The woman, who was not in my room at the time, said several times that the room was cool enough and that I could open the curtains and windows. The room faced the sun and, at that time, the air outside was hot. The room was also on the ground floor of a hotel whose car park sign implied there was theft in the area. I was therefore reluctant to leave windows open. By about 9pm it was cool enough outside to open the windows, but I had a poor night and felt sick the next morning. The room was clean enough, but clearly the woman was not interested in being helpful. I felt unwelcome and, when visiting my relative nearby, I will not stay there again, whatever the weather.

   this is a great value hotel.The rooms are big with comfortable beds.They have large bathrooms and fluffy towels.There is a nice pub ( the poacher) a five minute walk away and a Indian restaurant opposite.Its in suite location offering a good night sleep.The host Angela and her team are really friendly and professional and happy to assist to ensure u enjoy yr stay.I have stayed here at least twice every year for five years .Tip: if you take the lane to the right of the hotel you will find lots of free roaming donkeys and pigs and great cycle tracks.Note: the new forest is big so u can drive five minutes or forty depending what sights u want to see.( ignore the couple of not so nice reviews as they just wanted to get a free trip and refund). I’ve stayed at lots of places in the new forest and u won’t get better value than this

   We stayed in the Apartment on the top floor. It blew all of our expectations out of the water. There were four of us, two couples and the layout was absolutely perfect for us and we wished we could have stayed for longer. Both bedrooms are perfect, with ensuite bathrooms each. The kitchen is excellent and if you wanted to, you could cook a whole meal from scratch. The living space is super comfy also. The couple of things I'd mention are that in our bedroom we were missing bulbs for both of our bedside lamps, which wasn't a big deal and if we wanted to I'm sure the front desk would have dealt with it. Also, the kettle is absolutely coated in lime scale which caused our coffee drinking friend to have horrible tasting coffee! A new kettle might be advised. Overall, a fantastic stay, with ample parking, a lovely looking Indian restaurant right nextdoor (which we didn't actually get the chance to use), and perfect driving distance to pretty much anything you'd like to do in the surrounding area. Would definitely book here again!
