They make such a big thing of having 24 hour nurses watching patients at all times ; yet I’ve sat there and there’s been no staff for 8 minutes. I had to go and grab a member of the non nursing staff from somewhere else, as a patient was out of bed and about to fall. Don’t trust them with your loved ones. 24 minutes on my stopwatch when the nurse returned.

My mother was a patient in Savernake Hospital in February/March 2025, my family and I cannot adequately express our gratitude and thanks for the excellent care she received, whilst an inpatient. The attention of the staff and the help and support they offered in order to rehabilitate mum, so that she could return home was fantastic. Due to the level of care, this 94 year old, has managed to return to her own home and regain a level of independence, we feared, she may have lost after 6-7 weeks in Hospital. What a fabulous service, thank you.

Amazing team. Thank you for all supporting my mum in the week she was with you. She could hardly walk when she went in and in one week you had her confident again to walk with her crutch. She has done amazingly well and it’s all thanks to your support. Highly recommend this hospital for anyone who may need secondary help. Thank you. Not enough words can express how grateful we are to you.

I cannot praise this hospital enough. I was here for two weeks after a fall and was always treated very well. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. If I was to look for any faults it would only be that the food was sometimes cold.

initial consultation very pleasant experience as was follow up biopsy. Communications excellent, got call day before to ask if i could get there couple of hours earlier . Fine by me. Arrived at rescheduled time...no waiting straight in. Staff chatty and friendly. Parking will prove a challenge if you don't have a driver to drop off pick up. Park up in Hazel Close, Chopping Knife Lane just off the London Rd, then 9min walk along footpath.

After our GP consulted a colleague, it was deemed appropriate to refer my son under the 2 week urgent referral scheme (to rule out possible cancer). When we attended we waited an hour only to be discharged in 3 minutes without any form of examination, dermascopy or biopsy. Consultant Dermatologist didn’t even glance down from her desk to look at my sons toe nail because she was too busy typing his discharge letter (and no follow up offered). Discharge letter stated that she ‘reassured us’ there was nothing to worry about and l can only hope she is right and that both nails look the same when they clearly don’t. So we’re still worried and awaiting a second opinion at Royal United Hospital Bath. Scary how a specialist can be so blasé when it comes to possible cancer. Just because something is rare doesn’t mean it’s impossible. And ‘thinking’ is not the same as ‘knowing’.

What a great hospital! V efficient. I didn’t have to wait long and the appointment itself was very quick and slick and full of nice wonderful workers too! Overall an efficient friendly neighbourhood hospital that’s worth visiting!

I had to go to the Savernake Hospital today for a chest X-Ray. As usual, I am 1/2 hour early but very prepared to wait but the X-Ray technician, who was having her lunch, took me right away! I felt bad for interrupting her lunch but amazed that I was in and out before my appointment time. What a great service. Thank you

I just need to say the biggest thank you to Linda Thompson - OT and Amy -—Physio guiding me through a very difficult situation with my dad. They have been professional to the highest of standards. Listening skills, appropriate assertiveness, tactful, compassionate, communication, understanding with buckets of hand holding through a very extremely distressing and frustrating situation for me. I now have a light to work towards at the end of a very dark tunnel which had completely overwhelmed me. Thank you so much.

A very efficient local hospital, where appointments are pretty much on time or early never late from experience. A great friendly, upbeat team of doctor's & nurses with warming smiles and enthusiasm in abundance.
