My first-ever negative review. Please do not book this place, seriously! I booked two nights but made a mistake with the dates. I couldn’t reach the hotel (the contact number they provided on Trip was invalid ), and emails went unanswered. Trip.com said my booking couldn’t be canceled or changed, so I decided to stay anyway. But when I arrived, I was told my booking had already been canceled before that, no one (via phone or email) ever informed me that my booking had been canceled and no refund was offered. It was such a hassle and a huge waste of my time and journey. The hotel pushed all responsibility onto the platform, saying they had no authority to handle refunds. I strongly recommend choosing a proper chain hotel or Airbnb instead. This place felt like a poorly converted private house with terrible service, no communication, and a bad location far from the city center. And they also deleted my review on Trip.com

My partner stayed in the hotel the first weekend of August and it was hot so having a fan in the room summed up the place - it was a really nice thoughtful touch. Excellent reception with friendly staff. The place is spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is competitive on price and it has a free car park. It's a short walk to Reading West station and Oxford Road, with it's shops and cafes, is literally at the end of the road. For my partner there is the added bonus that her son and his young family live two minutes walk away so she's planning to revisit before too long.

Overall we had excellent service there, the room was clean, and the Bathroom excellent! The only reason I didn’t give it a Five was, the Lighting near the Stairs was an Issue: we had to go Halfway down the stairs B4 the lights came on, and I was with someone with Mobility Problems, so I had to Shine my Torch so that he could get down Safely. But the Staff were excellent, one night, our Key cards wouldn’t work to let us back in the room, and a member of staff got up to let us back in. I would return again.

All OK. Clean, quiet location, close to all the vibes and many restaurants and takeaways and mainly close to The Wishing Well pub!

First off, the staff, they were very kind and always willing to help. My first night there I came really late and the guy on the night shift waited and was kind enough to assist me with all I needed, even though his shift had ended. The room was also really clean and tidy. I loved my entire stay.

A nice quaint hotel, I was greeted at the door, check-in was easy. I had a room at the back of the property which was quiet, it had the usual tea/coffee facilities. The bed was soft which is not what I'm used to but managed to sleep perfectly. The bathroom was clean, had a bath, shower, sink and toilet, what else do you really need. The room was clean, maybe a little dated, but I was staying for business so a bed and somewhere to clean up is just what I needed. It is located close to a bustling street with lots of restaurants where I got some dinner (a nice Indian for one). The owner told me about the area and where to find everything, which was most helpful as I'm not from the area. Check-out was just as easy as check-in. My car was parked out the front, there were many parking spaces at the front and back of the property which is perfect. I chose this place as it was close to where I was working, if I go back to the area, I will choose this place again. (The picture was after I had stayed and I re-made the bed)

Our stay was great! Me and my friend visited the UK for a week. The room was big, we had separate beds, a table and a wardrobe, a hairdryer and a kettle, the heater was working and we had our own bathroom! Also the room and the hotel itself was very clean. Our toilet was broken at some time, like the water was running non stop but as soon as we told staff they immediately took care of it! Staff was very nice and helpful, they recommended a lot of places to visit and to eat! Overall, really good place to stay for a reasonable price! Only flaw would be the distance to reading station (you could also go to the Reading West Station, just be mindful that there obviously are less trains to specific places you might want to go to). If you don't wanna spend too much on transportation costs like us it would take you about 30-40min by foot. Supermarkets or smaller markets for daily necessities are also close by. But if you don't mind to walk that much, it really is a good place to stay!

A good location near the city centre. The place was decent and clean. Arshad, the guy from the reception was so friendly, welcomed us warmly and recommended a lot of places to go and eat.
