I play the Sandford Springs Golf course at least once a month, and after having done that for three years, feel I'm best placed to write this review - excellent course and people The crew in the pro shop, Elloitt, Jasmine and Daniel are so helpful even when they are massively busy. First class Always eat & drink there after a round, and the food is excellent and the lovely smile from Jayne is a delight to come in to, especially on those typical British wet days. Green-keepers keep the course open all year, and love the challenge of the three distinctly different 9 hole courses. Absolutely no negatives, love the course and recommend that if you're in travelling distance, come and play here.

What a wonderful place for a golf break with friends. The setting is fabulous and the welcome from the staff was warm and friendly. Outstanding service from Jayne, Ollie and Elliott. Really professional and fun. That’s what you want when you’re away, yes? The only reason for marking one star down is we had some black mould in the shower and made the staff aware. Having said that, the room was exceptionally comfortable and well appointed. We will certainly be going back and that says it all really!

Good 1 night two rounds of golf stay only ruined by the ridiculous prices in the bar and half way hut. They seem to feel charging £4.20 for a bottle coke etc. is acceptable needless to say a group of 16 refused buy any. When will they realise that it’s better to sell something for a smaller profit then selling nothing

Played Golf here, the course is just meh, nothing to get excited about, no real memorable holes. Was only £30 for the round though, so can't moan about that. But wasn't worth the hours drive. General area and hotel looked nice though, so probably a good deal if you're not overly serious about the golf and looking for a night away and a couple of rounds.

I enjoyed a double room to myself, and it had everything I needed, and I was very comfortable - only 1 night, and no 'issues' whatsoever. We were a group of 8 old school friends, visiting for a 2 day golf break. The golf courses certainly needed improvement - little grass on many of the fairways, little signage as to which hole one was actually playing on, and no yardages indicated. However, greens were well kept and presented some interesting contours ! Car parking was plentiful > easy.

Lovely hotel beautiful grounds, one of the quietist we’ve ever stayed at. Staff are so helpful. They accommodated our concerns and left us extremely happy and refreshed.

Stayed at the sandford springs hotel last night for my husbands works do and it was a lovely stay the room was big and spacious and very clean, the Christmas party night was very good too, the 3 course meal was really delicious and very filling. The breakfast was very good too all nice and hot and all freshly cooked. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back one day and stay there again in the future.

Went to a Christmas night at Sandford Springs. Venue was lovely and staff helpful. Once inside the tables were shoehorned together. Once sat down it was almost impossible to move. The food was incredibly disappointing. Prawn and salmon starter. This was made with the smallest flavourless prawns covered with a postage stamp piece of smoked salmon. The tomatoes on the plate were past their best and soft and wrinkly skin. Main course of slow braised beef was so over cooked dry and tasteless. The only edible part was the mashed potatoes. Dessert was for us baileys cheesecake this was passable. All in all s very disappointing meal for a really high price. Would not recommend their party nights. Venue lovely. Food dreadful. Disco good. Drinks expensive. Will not be returning

Wonderful stay at Sandford Springs. We played 2 rounds and stayed overnight. 3 varied and challenging 9 holes. Great breakfast, dinner and halfway house food. All the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The weather today was terrible and the pro shop staff helped us by giving us an earlier tee time. Thank you all and looking forward to a return.
