Went to BCA Zoo for the Christmas activities with 3 kids (3, 5, 8 y.o.). Pretty impressed with the cleanliness, space and calmness in the area. All animals are well groomed. We watched otter feeding and feed farm animals by ourselves. Rabbit fishing is a great activity not to be missed
Absolutely fantastic morning seeing the animals and reptiles, Lady who showed us around was very friendly and knowledable, knew all the animals by name, gave a very informative talk on each animal, highlight was stroking Bertie The porcupine, and touching a tarantula! I also learnt alot! a great place to visit for young and old, highly recommend
Had a great visit. Booked in for a meerkat experience. Had a fantastic tour and a great experience with the meerkats. My son loved it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about it. Our guide Casey was brilliant and very good at explaining things to us and our son (7). 10/10
Booked a meerkat experience for my son. There was a mix up with the booking but they were brilliant about it and as a result we had a zoo tour and then a private meerkat experience. It’s a lovely little place with wonderful animals and really special experience ms for children. If you’re local you should definitely go. Worth every penny!

i’m an animal management student here who has also been on the zoo tours and it’s honestly great :)) these animals make me the happiest i’ve ever been!! they’re all super well cared for and amazing to see
Quite small but enjoyable for £8. Really lovely day out. I would have rated it 5 stars if the cafe wasn’t so poor. First of all, the hot dog panini’s look absolutely grim. Secondly, the bacon roll I got was absolutely stale. I couldn’t even eat it.
We took my 3 year old son & 6 year old nephew to the zoo's Christmas Elf event. It was very well organised. We made presents for the animals & then very much enjoyed watching the animals tuck into them. The children loved being able to actually give the animals their presents & hold/touch the cockroaches & snakes. They were even given a book & a certificate at the end. It was something a bit different to do for Christmas & would definitely recommend it. The lady/elf that was running the session was really lovely & great with the children.
