When we book a holiday with an agent we expect a holiday with no problems. However this was not in my case. I had booked the excursion from here so I do not have to stand in queues. I paid double the price here and was told I will receive my tickets 24hours before the viewing which did not happen. Had to buy tickets on credit card again. On complaining my problems I was told that tickets were sent. I have got their varoious emails saying sorry for the inconvenience caused . I have card statement showing the purchase of tickets. I ask why would I want to stand in long queues to purchase tickets if I had received them already. Hays travel did not take any responsibility they just passed the problem to FredOlsen travel Ltd which they use. Although my money was taken by hays travel. How can the blame go to someone else when I came and paid you for my holiday. If I wanted problems I would have done it on line and my holiday would have been cheaper with the problems!! This was a very disappointing experience with my holiday and their attitude.

Booked our honeymoon through Hays, had to fly to Orlando via Frankfurt for some bizarre reason and our suitcases didn’t make it to Orlando so they got stuck in Frankfurt. To make matters worse, our hotel in Orlando had no idea that we were staying there. Trying to contact Hays while in America was a nightmare, they don’t answer their phones. Took forever to get sorted. For the Honolulu portion of our honeymoon, same thing happened with the hotel, they had no idea when we were coming. Our suitcases eventually turned up. When I eventually put it to them when I got back, they tried to deny responsibility (although they were happy to take my £8,000+ for the holiday), claiming that it was Hays Tour Operator who were responsible. Got £200 refund back for their incompetence. Will not use ever again.

We’ve spent nearly £20k on two holidays this year which are supposed to be once in a lifetime trips. We’ve spent the last two weeks trying to get them to sort out a catalog of errors. DOBs wrong, name wrong, I’m apparently sharing a room with my step son whilst my partner shares with his Daughter, our boarding time is different to our kids meaning they’re left on the dockside, cancelled drinks packages due to Hays error which means we’ve now lost money as it was booked on a special offer. Their service is shocking. The manager is a coward and hides with other customers selling holidays leaving a new starter to deal with all these issues. It’s been weeks and still not sorted. Completely spoiling what was supposed to be a magical trip we’ve been saving for for years. Spend your money with TUi or Jet2holidays. Don’t waste your time with this firm. They couldn’t care less.
