   I booked a taxi and was sent a text with a link to track my driver. Five minutes before it was due, the website said it was 10 minutes away. Fair enough, it was a Saturday evening. Five minutes later and it was now 15 minutes away and heading in the opposite direction! I phoned the dispatcher again, and the automated message said it was 17 minutes away. The dispatcher said he'd send a closer taxi and it eventually arrived 20 minutes after the time I had booked for. I won't be using them again. What a shame Castle Taxis are now part of Boxalls as I won't use them now either.

   Have used Boxall Taxis for the past few years. But absolutely disgusted with the service in the last few days. Booked a taxi on Friday evening based on an indicative quote. Final price almost double, payment taken immediately. Alongside a holding debit. Pending the holding transaction being refunded, a £27 quoted trip has currently cost almost £100. Been waiting since 9am yesterday morning for a call back. Thank God we now have access to Uber. Won’t be using Boxall again.

   We booked a taxi and agreed a fixed price. On arrival we were told it was nearly double the price. We had called to extend past 12am and told that it was time and a half on the metre. This was despite being specifically told a set price and not that we’d be charged more. We felt scammed and the attitude from the staff was poor. The company claimed we should have somehow known that it would be time and a half…. Ridiculous. Do not trust them.

   I am a wheelchair user and although we are new to the area we found Boxall on google decided to give them a go and have now used them several times the drivers are courteous helpful and patient whilst I got in and out the car punctual service polite and clean cars nothing is a problem always happy to help. Brilliant service nice to have a decent firm about that cares about the passengers

   I use this family owned firm on a frequent basis to get to and from work as it’s cheaper for me than maintaining a car. I also use the firm for social purposes. They are reliable, friendly and competitive. The cars are clean and comfortable and the drivers friendly, polite and accommodating. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

   After talking to Raj who took the time to call me and explain the reason why the cab was delayed I would like to say that we came to a resolution. I will now return to using Boxall taxis once again. I made a booking for a taxi the day before to make sure I could secure a taxi, my pick up time was 06.30 as I needed to be at the station to catch a train but I couldn’t believe it when my phone rang at 06.08 and it was the controller at Boxhall Taxis telling me that my cab was running late so when I asked what time it would be at my house I was told 07.00 but they couldn’t guarantee it so I had to try and book another taxi which I was unsuccessful in doing at such short notice. I missed my train and a connecting service from it which ruined my entire day. On my return back home from the station I made sure I used another reliable taxi company.
