   This stay was nothing short of incredible. I wish I could give more stars! The setting is so serene and picturesque, surrounded by peaceful fields and wildlife. Outside, there are some tables and chairs outside to enjoy the garden, as well as near the pond, and there are footpaths to walk to the main road and through the fields. The lodge is lovely, updated, nicely furnished, and the amenities are great. Ann is very nice and is a great host. We arrived to a sign welcoming us, delicious brownies inside, and a coffee and tea station. We asked not to receive the complementary continental breakfast due to our own breakfast plans, but I'm sure the breakfast would have been great. The bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen were all updated, nicely decorated, and had everything one needs for a great stay. There were also some nice robes which made our stay feel very luxurious. We had a lovely stay and only regret not staying longer! Thank you, Ann!

   Hayeswood Lodge offers beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds and facilities. The location is so peaceful - yet gives easy access to Derby and Nottingham. The recent addition of an EV charger has made it the perfect place for my regular work trips to the area. A home-from-home ! ❤️

   Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting friends. After an exhausting 9-hour drive all the way from Belgium, the lodge was an amazing sight for sore eyes. The room was incredibly cozy and tidy. Super comfy beds and amazing homemade granola, crumpets, brownies, … this place was exceeding all my expectations! After coming back everyday from my activities the room was fully re-stocked and the bed was always made. Dan was an extraordinary and host and knew like no other how to make you feel welcome. Will definitely be staying here again when I plan to revisit my friends.

   What a beautiful place! So peaceful. The lodge had everything we needed and more. Really cosy and welcoming! The owner Dan and Katie are very nice people. To top it off the homemade treats were amazing! Very happy and we will be back.

   We arrived at Hayeswood Lodge under the cover of darkness thanks to a very accommodating late check in policy. Despite the late hour our host was there to greet us with a welcoming smile. We staggered into our room and were instantly thrilled to be in such beautiful surroundings. Cosy and welcoming, with some lovely decor touches - and the chocolate brownies just added that lovely extra touch! The room was clean, warm, very well equipped and extremely comfortable - the Smart TV with Netflix and Prime made relaxing after our drive perfect too. We collapsed happily in bed for a thoroughly restful sleep. Some wonderful homemade treats were provided for breakfast - packaged and bottled so thoughtfully to bring a smile as we opened each item. Homemade granola was delicious, we’d buy that by the sackful if we could! Lovely fresh homemade crumpets with a perfect portion of butter and homemade jam washed down with little bottles of fresh juice - what a way to start the day! We stepped outside to be greeted for the first time in daylight by the beautiful surroundings: peaceful, picturesque perfection! A lovely chat with our host Dan, then the dogs escorted us on a little stroll around the garden which was very relaxed and welcoming, we were lucky enough to see some last glimpses of summer beauty in the flowers and trees. We spent 2 nights at Hayeswood Lodge but could have happily stayed for a week. It was a gem of a find and perfect for a relaxed quiet break away from the madness of day to day life. 5 star accommodation, 5 star location and 5 star hosts Thank you!
