I highly recommend the Tyger Inn to anyone visiting Derby. It's a wonderful hotel that offers excellent value for money. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip!

i’m staying. here to go to alton towers as hotels there are insane prices we walk in and it’s not too bad the bathroom has a bit of black mold and smelt damp everything else was good free tea and coffee etc then when it comes to night time i couldn’t sleep until 3am due to loud noises outside coming from what sounded ashe receptionist they were arguing with a other woman for a good 2 hours showing no sympathy for others after that the next day our shower didn’t turn on properly we called the person an was super rude and said i quote “Well it should work to be honest shouldn’t it?” ina. rude voice we didn’t think much of it just as a funny joke but then he started being super rude and didn’t even say goodbye or anything super rude th rooms are fairly decent though for the price your paying

We were a bit skeptical about here as the reviews were mixed, however this is probably the best stay we’ve had in a long time. Price is incredible we arrived last night as a family of 3 after visiting Drayton manor and the safari park we wanted to extend our stay as we didn’t want to go home yet after having such a lovely time away, the guy on reception was so lovely he let us see our room before we payed and located us at the back so no noise at all like reviews say. Room was incredible not dirty everything clean and refreshments etc, we have stayed an extra night at an amazing cost for a Saturday night. The staff are lovely and it’s so quiet. I would highly recommend this place. Incredible for prize and would definitely return.

A very basic hotel (if you can call it that) with an unmanned reception. Rooms desperately need updating. Hole in bath where the handle has fell off. Room has a strange smell. Even the bedding has a musty smell. The bed itself was fairly comfortable. Only stayed here as it was a very short walk to a family wedding venue.

Bunch of friends met up here last week for a nights stay whilst at a local event. We reserved four rooms. Two of the rooms were near where the staff stay and smelt like someone had been chain smoking in them for several years. The room I stayed in had mould and dirt everywhere. We raised our concerns with the reception, he didn't even come and look just handed me some air freshener. He asked us to send feedback directly to them, we've contacted several times and had no reply. We did not want to miss out on the event as it was a friends birthday but we did clean the rooms ourselves before staying - unbelievable please avoid.

Great place to stay. Room was clean and smelled nice. Had everything we needed and a fridge. Thank you.

We have frequently stayed at OYO Derby as relatives live nearby. I regret that our top rating must drop because as disabled customers we always request one of the two chalets with slope and handrails. More often than not this proves to be a problem even though these chalets are available when we arrive. Whilst the rooms are of a very good standard and the staff are welcoming we now have to stay elsewhere to accommodate our needs Such a shame that OYO cannot provide specific requests for some strange reason.

Good sized room, comfortable beds, and good shower. Lights were a bit dim and one or two were not working properly. Unfortunately, breakfast no longer available at nearby Beefeater. However, a decent affordable room.

The rooms and beds are of a big size. They are all on the classic style ground floor and there's easy free parking right outside the rooms. The staff are nice and we had a cosy and comfortable stay and the showers are great as well!

The room was perfectly clean and everything worked as it should. The bed was huge and really very comfortable. We didn't visit the pub across from us because we only stayed the one night to visit Alton Towers but it's very handy to have it there. Also, the man who checked us in was very polite and helpful. We would definitely stay again, well worth the money
