Absolutely brilliant day here for my brothers wedding on 11th December. The manager, absolute fabulous and a credit to the company. Food, service, cleanliness, outside area and bar lounge 5☆ all the way. Considering coming to stay here when visiting my brother.
Wonderful place to stay for our son’s wedding at the nearby River Mill. Zoe could not have been more accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable (eg fresh milk for the tea in our room). Breakfast was sensational - the nicest homemade granola I’ve ever eaten!
Had the most amazing stay at the Coach House last week. We stayed here the evening before my wedding and it was fabulous. Zoe was brilliant and really took care of us during our stay! The garden area was so beautiful to relax in with a drink. We even did some bouquet making on the table outside! The decor of every room was beautiful and the whole place had a lovely feel about it. Definitely want to come back in future! Thanks to everyone for our stay it was great!
I stayed at The Coach House for a week earlier this year, during a trip home to visit family and friends. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, and I had a fantastic stay. I stayed in one of the old stable rooms, which had a small private patio and a pond. The room was clean, comfortable, and especially lovely with the French doors open and the sunshine streaming in. The included breakfast was delicious and flexible, with options like lactose-free milk, eggs cooked to order, and a selection of cereals. There was also a nice range of fixed items on the menu to choose from. Tea, coffee, and juice rounded out the drinks. The Full English was a standout and set me up perfectly for the day. Next time I visit Derby, I will definitely stay at The Coach House again. Highly recommended.
Spouse & I had a fabulous stay here at Room 7 in February. Zoe took great care of us, and was enjoyable to chat with. Room, location and breakfast very enjoyable. We will stay again when returning to Derby.
We stayed at the Coach House after a wedding and were delighted with it. The staff were really friendly and accommodating about a late check-in, and even had homemade brownie waiting when we got in! The rooms were really nicely decorated and everything was very clean. The breakfast was delicious too - would highly recommend staying here.
I really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and bright. Dinner was by Bigsby's and was 3 courses of well considered ingredient combinations, presented superbly. We met the chefs after dinner and took the opportunity to discover how much thought and process was involved in creating the menu. Breakfast was the perfect end to our stay with a variety of freshly prepared options, served by am attentive and friendly staff. Recommended.
Terrible! We had booked a room for over Christmas, unfortunately shortly after arrival we received a phone call from our baby sitting informing us that our son was very Ill with high temp! We had to leave within 10 mins of arriving , we hadn’t even touched the room, the guess house was completely empty, we contacted customer’s services (Richard) via phone and he was helpful and told us we could have a refund or a part refund. Unfortunately the owner/general manager (Robert Aitken) is less than helpful, he is refusing to honour the request. I would definitely not recommend this place, the photos certainly look much better than it actually is and the rude management and lack of customer service do not portray a professional business.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel, we enjoyed our stay for two nights, breakfast was delicious, I had the vegetarian option which was lovely! the hotel is in a good location, Darley park is just across the road which is an outstanding park with beautiful views and was perfect for walking our two dogs , I would highly recommend this hotel to others and will be staying there again!
