   I had the most amazing experience at Popworld and I honestly think it was because of the bartender Stav. She was so lovely, very attentive and made the whole experience 100 times better. I think pop world needs more bartenders like Stav because she was just simply amazing. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back for her. All the drinks were also made to perfection!!!

   Nice to see venues in reading actually checking IDs however as a pub licencee from out of town I was refused entry due to not having ID. I'm 43yrs old, balding with a bad taste in fashion lmao. You're door staff were polite, respectful and dilligent however sometimes common sense should prevail. Due to not having needed it, I wasn't carrying my passport, just my personal alcohol licence in my wallet that isn't legal ID unfortunately. I was the scout for a good night out in ripley so myself and the large. Following group of tourists went to a another venue In reading. Keep up the good work guys

   Came for a night out with friends and couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience! Music was vibes and Niamh and Stav on the bar were amazing! They recommended the purple rain cocktail and it was so good! Will 100% be coming back

   Had an amazing night at Popworld Reading! The atmosphere was buzzing, the music kept everyone lively , and the service was spot on. A special shoutout to Stav behind the bar, she was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were looked after the whole night. Drinks were served quickly with a dazzling smile, even when it was busy. Great customer service like that makes all the difference. I will definitely be coming back

   Wow what an incredible night, will definitely be back again! Cocktails and good music and £2.50 drinks on Fridays - literally the best place to go out out in reading! Abi is our favourite bartender, we always go to her for drinks because she’s incredibly friendly! Shout out to the fabulous security team too, they’re always so professional whilst being kind and smiley at the same time

   Visited here on Friday for a quick drink as the music sounded good from outside. Walking in, one of the bouncers asked for my ID, which I was about to provide. Whilst doing this, another female bouncer appeared from outside and yelled at me to get back outside. She then insisted on me standing on a very specific spot, emptying my pockets and searching me (despite me being male and her being female, which is unacceptable). Once this was done, I then re-provided my ID, which was scanned and had my mugshot taken (that's a lot of effort just to get a drink). In the window, they advertised a Friday deal of "Drinks £2.50". Not "Selected Drinks" or anything like that, just "Drinks". It turns out it's only a very limited selection. A pint of Coors costs £4.50, for example. After paying at the bar, one of the staff came over to me a few minutes later and claimed my card was declined, so I was asked to pay again. They couldn't provide a receipt for the declined transaction as apparently the printer was broken. I noticed the hygiene for spirits was very poor. The measuring cups for the spirits are stored in a tray of water. The staff put their hands (without cleaning them) into the water each time to retrieve a cup, use it, then put it back in the water. I wonder how many germs are transferred from fingers into drinks? Unlike a lot of the other recent reviewers, I didn't get to know the name of any of the staff.

   Top bar in Reading. Special mention about the security and bartenders. They all are so friendly. Abi in particular is awesome. I like coming to the bar every week for the hospitality and music.
