Lovely place, easy to locate, though there are buses from Southampton central we easily walked over in 10 mins.. the rooms were a good size with a patio. Possible areas for improvement - if you can have a small mirror in the room. I know there is one outside the room but would be good to have one in the room. The wifi signal was weak in the room and the data network also was weak. We were there just for one day so we didn’t mind. We loved the place and will come again

This place is ideal if you are looking for somewhere cheap and not far from the main railway station. Communication with the host was clear and prompt. The room is very basic but again it is cheap! The facilities were fine and it fit the purpose of being somewhere to sleep. I think a lot of people are expecting too much. A nice simple room with secure entry, many bathrooms facilities and good staff.

Clean and tidy rooms, clean bedding, access to necessary facilities.

You really can't go wrong for the price. Location is close enough to town that it's a stroll. Rooms are basic but very very clean. Facilities are good enough as well and again very clean. Washing machine and small kitchen making it a great stay if you're travelling around.

Great value for money. Clean basic room with good facilities throughout. Definitely stay again.

Small, grim little room in the attic, no handrail on very, very narrow curved and steep stairs, very dangerous to negotiate stairs especially at night when the loo was needed! Not the cleanest room though the bed was small but reasonably comfy. Staircase was really dirty. Breakfast a joke.... A few boxes of opened cereal scattered round the kitchen. Gave it a miss. VERY expensive for what we got!! Only plus side was the nice manager who even made us a cuppa when we arrived. The one star is for him.

Ok if you just need a place to sleep cheaply. Caretaker Pete is nice but the building is run down. Kept awake by the noisy plumbing, and couldn't use the toilet in our annex.
