   Stayed at lodges to be near a wedding venue - cannot fault the lodges - clean and spacious... however, honesty shop not well stocked - and nothing nearby for basics.. following leaving the accomodation an email was sent to my daughter saying that 7 people had stayed there - there were in fact only four of us - plus how did they even have concrete knowledge if not watching movements - quick enough to get onto my daughter about this, however when my other daughter made attempts to arrange hire of hot tub (extra charge) she was unable to make contact.. Would have happily recommended lodges to friends and family, but afterthought will definitely not...

   SHOCKING! Booked a lodge last year for for my bridal team ( the night before the wedding) we were due to check in and an hour before they emailed to cancel with no care what so ever about the occasion. Said they have double booked us and that was that! Absolutely disgusting! DONT recommend

   Lots of little unnecessary disappointments. Outdoor space in Hawthorne is tiny, but it's also not clean or well maintained, would benefit from a good jetwash (the lodge itself is clean in fairness). They don't provide bath mats. Tin opener doesn't work, but there are three corkscrew, and no sieve or colander. Freezer needed defrosting (really badly) so door doesn't even properly close. The four velux windows in the living space look like they've never been cleaned. The furniture in the lodge is good quality, but it's all a bit unkempt for example my Bedroom lamp is knackered and there's filler all down the hallway where they're obviously looking at improving things. Like many other reviews have said, it just needs some tlc. I guess the owners hire other people to keep up the maintenance. But the price was reasonable so 3/5 seems fair.

   Spacious, clean. Availability of hot tub. Enclosed around lodge so private for hot tub and great for dog. Lost a star as lodge generally needs a bit of tlc. But I would return

   This place scammed us. Double booked our room, when we arrived around 11pm to check in, we were surprised to find our provided pin did not work, and another family inside the lodge we had booked. The following day they sent a “no show” note, even though we did show and they didn’t answer our many calls - both before and after arriving. Horrible business. Edit in response to feedback: there were people in the room who had checked in the day previous and opened the door to OUR lodge when we arrived - this is only possible of our room was double booked. Our “non-communication” came on the form of us sending multiple emails (several days ahead) and calling 10+ times ahead of our accommodation. This was the absolute best we could have done. You had emailed us saying you could leave towels, so you clearly had the ability to respond to us in some manner, but did not. Furthermore, our time of arrival is not relevant. We were provided a pin code, and a given lodge. We used the provided pin code on Oak lodge, at which point we unfortunately disturbed the guests within. This is not our fault and a clear sign that the business was not operated appropriately. I will remove this review once we get the refund we are owed.

   Amazing apartments clean and everything u need for a stress free stay very clean..Beds were so comfortable. .Hot tub an added bonus .James and Kate are very attentive to detail and are great hosts. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back

   Cannot comment on the lodge itself as just before we were setting off on our holiday we received a curt, unapologetic email telling us our holiday had been cancelled. Saying due to an electrical fault. I'm sure the manager who works in construction surely knows somebody who could of fixed it instead of cancelling our 4 day holiday altogether. We tried contacting them for more information but we could not get in contact. By either phone or email. And now to top all these unprofessional dealings off, we have just received a message asking us why the payment for the Lodge has not been received. Absolute joke
