We had a great week and everyone enjoyed themselves from the 19 month year old to the 70 plus Grandad! Really well equipped we would certainly like to return, lots to do for all ages within 30 minutes drive plus the walks from the house.
Wonderful stay in the Shearing Shed. The location is stunning and the walks from the door are fantastic. We have two very energetic boys who were kept very well entertained by the Alpacas and wildlife on the farm. Ludo was great with the kids and Gemma was incredibly helpful when I realised I had booked the wrong cottage by mistake. We very much appreciated your flexibility. We’ll be back!
We had a great time, 3 adults and 4 teenagers at the Shearing shed for 4 days during this February half term. Lovely views, accommodation was comfortable and clean. Kitchen well equipped. The folder of instructions for the running of the house was super helpful ,very clear and told you everything that you needed to know Hosts Gemma and Simon were welcoming and very accommodating. I would definitely go there again and would recommend to others
Stayed here last weekend. We hired both cottages which are very nicely decorated, fully equipt, very comfortable beds with pristine white bedding. There are lovely views with alpacas in the fields. There is a lovely walk to a waterfall which are worth visiting. Just a couple of suggestions in the Shearing Shed....a grip handle on the wall next to the bath and mirror on the bedroom wall where the plug socket is for when drying hair. Thank you for a great stay, will certainly recommend these cottages.
We had a lovely stay at Overbrook Barn, a beautiful spot in the Peak District with idyllic walks right on the doorstep.
What a fantastic location to visit. That view, the walks, those hills. We loved our stay here. There was everything we needed and more besides. The peace and quiet was lovely. We could of just stayed in the whole week.
We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Llama cottage. Topped off by getting to meet a 20 minute old little baby Llama. The hosts were super accomodating throughout the whole long-weekend.
Based on the quality interior of Overbrook Barn and the epic, beautiful setting of Farbrook's estate, giving less than five stars would be a travesty. One does not even have to leave the estate to enjoy numerous 'constitutional' dog walks. I had a couple of minor issues, which were calmly and cordially addressed by Gemma and/or Simon. These do not bear mentioning here. I have to say, there is less privacy than I'd hoped for here, especially as the garden behind Overbrook Barn is shared and is overlooked by both of the other buildings. I met Ludovic, one of Gemma's and Simon's sons. Ludo is a fine young man; outgoing and yet with a gratifying degree of humility to him.
Lovely stay in a very remote part of the Peak District. The Barn is small/cosy, and has everything you need for 6-8 people. Lovely to watch the alpacas feeding each day and a bird feeder is also set up for your viewing pleasure. The log burner is must and gets the place lovely and toasty!
