   This is a very pleasant and charming hotel, with wonderfully helpful and friendly staff, particularly Freda, who went above and beyond to assist. The rooms are clean and comfortable. However, if you are not based near the main manor, but instead in the rooms round the rear, then they can be a little tricky to find, particularly because of the one way system in the area. Breakfast was delicious, but whilst I appreciate the need for not wanting to create waste, it would be better to let guests help themselves to whatever they want, rather than having someone portion out your meal. It just felt a little awkward to have to ask for some more every time something was put on the plate. Stayed here to attend Alton Towers, which is a short 17 minute drive away, so very convenient. That being said, check in is so late and check out so early, it felt like we barely had any time in the hotel. All in all, a pleasant trip and I would consider staying there again, purely for how the staff were. Perhaps check in and check out times could be reconsidered.

   So this is a hard review to write just because the Reception staff were so god dam friendly. OK so lets start with the positives. Location is great, lovely small English town 10-15 min drive to Alton towers so that was ideal. Hotel has free parking also great and as I said the staff I encountered were VERY friendly and helpful. Negatives.... OK so I personally found the cleanliness of the rooms way below par. The shower was grotty and had massive limescale build up, looked like it hadn't been deep cleaned in a LONG time. The toothbrush holder had also not been cleaned. Another note was the bed linen was stained which just wasn't pleasant. The toilet in our room was also clogged however I do want to note although the initial encounter with the staff about this matter was embarrassing they handled it very well, ended up giving me another room key so we had a toilet to use and they also gave us a box of chocolates when we left as an apology which was a very nice touch, as I said hard to fault the staff. Would I stay again? No. Sorry

   A real gem of a guest house! Everything about our stay was stress-free and exactly as we hoped. The location in the centre of Cheadle was perfect for our weekend at Alton Towers (approx 15min drive). The family room was very clean, spacious (even with 3 beds), and had all the basic amenities we needed for our stay. Breakfast was a cooked breakfast and a continental selection, to which both were very good. The host was very welcoming and provided an exceptional service throughout. The free on-site parking was another bonus which we made use of, along with a lovely garden area. I would highly recommend this hotel, and I would certainly book again when we are in the area. Thank you for a great stay!

   We chose the manor because of the location because of how close it was to Alton towers. When we arrived we were greeted and shown to our room and helped with our luggage. The owners couldn't have been more helpful in giving information about the local area places that were good to eat at ect. The room wasn't the largest but was very adequate extremely clean and very warm. The breakfast was great with a choice of continental and cooked which was served buffet style so you could help yourselves. The dining area was extremely clean light and spacious so it was very pleasant eating breakfast. When we arrived back at our room on the second day we were greeted with a note and a bottle of wine wishing us a happy anniversary which I think was a lovely touch and above and beyond what they had to do. All in all we had a lovely stay at the manor with a lovely comfortable clean room and the hosts were absolutely brilliant so we will definitely be returning. They also have a spacious car park at the rear.

   Stayed for two nights for a wedding. The girls that run this place are so friendly and nothing is too much for them. One of our friends didn’t make it back to the hotel for breakfast and they offered to keep a plate for her in case she was hungry which was so sweet of them to offer. Our room was very big, it is the basics but can commend them on the how clean and spacious they were and one of the few hotels that give you more than one hanger which was very handy! Breakfast is great, little shorter and earlier than I would prefer but the food quality makes it worth it. The girls are so friendly and so helpful with any questions. We will be back to visit our friends and certainly be staying here again!
