   I absolutely loved my stay at Shining Cliff Hostel. The woodland setting is truly magical, hidden away in the middle of the woods, with the hostel sitting right at the foot of a beautiful rock face. It feels like a secret escape from the world. Inside, the hostel was spotlessly clean throughout with very comfortable bunk beds. The kitchen was fantastic, being modern, spacious and incredibly well-equipped. So definitely make the most of it and cook up something great! We also enjoyed using one of the fire pits in the evening. Sitting by the fire, under a full moon with an owl hooting somewhere nearby, was a wonderful memory. There’s even a great CD stereo system that we could connect to via Bluetooth and play music, which was such a nice bonus. Contact with Kate, the host, was perfect. She was friendly, helpful and with clear instructions about everything we needed to know, including accessing the car park. I’d highly recommend Shining Cliff Hostel for hikers, peaceful retreats or group getaways. I stayed with one other person and we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves, but even with more guests around, the setting and vibe would still be fantastic. If you’re looking for nature, tranquillity, and a truly unique place to stay, this is it!

   Shining Cliff Hostel CIC was the perfect location for our nature-based therapy retreat. Nestled in the woodland, with beautiful gathering circles for outdoor group activities, we couldn't have asked for a more fitting setting. We were fortunate to have Kate facilitate a conservation activity for the group, which allowed us to gain a deep connection with the landscape and natural habitat. Kate is a welcoming, knowledgeable person, who is clearly very passionate about what Shining Cliff woods and hostel can offer those in search of nature connection. I whole heartedly recommend the hostel and Kate's forest school activities (for children and/or adults). Get ready to be nurtured!

   I’ve completed two long weekends worth of training at Shining Cliff and have been based at the hostel for both. A decent walk into the incredible woods, this lovely little hostel gives you everything you need to move out into the wild just enough to immerse yourself in nature. Kate looks after the hostel and a lot of the woodland facilities. There is so much love and care taken with the management and encounters with Kate are always great. Can’t wait to go back soon!

   Amazing hostel in the woods! Such a beautiful location with so many nice walking paths directly from the hostel. I booked this for my mum´s birthday celebration with family ranging in age from 3 to their 70´s, and everyone was impressed. The hostel is so well equipped, with everything so well thought about. I particularly loved the touches to make your stay their so sustainable, as sometimes that can be so difficult when staying away from home. The place was very clean, and the communication from Kate was really easy and helpful. I will definitely be considering future stays :)

   Stunning location! Bit of a trek through the woods to get to the hostel but there are wheel barrows at the car park to take stuff up to the hostel. I have been to many hostels and this has to be one of the best. Kitchen was well equipped. We will be back!

   I booked Shining Cliff Hostel as a part of a retreat. The booking process was simple and Kate was kind and helpful towards all of my questions. The Hostel itself is located in a very special woodland which makes it the perfect place to reconnect with nature. The hostel is clean and very well stocked, and whilst all the beds are dormitory beds, they are comfortable. I will absolutely be using Shining Cliff Hostel again both for business and for private use, and I can't wait for my next stay in the woods.

   Visited the hostel in shining cliff woods. Lovely area with plenty paths and rocks to explore. Hostel was well equipped and in a peaceful area letting you feel nicely isolated away from people.
