I was at the school for 11 years and found it very enjoyable. The quality of teaching and opportunities extra curricular activities were outstanding. However, I felt that there was a lack of support in terms of applying the secondary schools or scholarships in Year 8. Overall, its a very good school and would recommend it to all.
My girls are thriving at this wonderful school. We have been warmly welcomed into the community and everyone is so supportive. There is an ultimate sense of ‘family’ at the heart of the school and everyone in it.
We are now in our 7th year with Yateley Manor and have never regretted our decision to enrol both our boys into this school. The boys joined the nursery and the close collaboration between the preschool and infant school was a strong draw for us. The school delivers strong academics and our experience is that this develops children of all levels of ability. We like the broad curriculum with lots of opportunity for new experiences, which has been enhanced further with the new facilities open. The children are expected to be polite and independent from early on, which has made the transition to secondary school for our eldest son very straight forward. Outside of the academics, our boys have taken advantage of the many sports teams and have enjoyed opportunities to represent the school at local, regional and national events. The wider education has brought many benefits for the boys and their confidence. Yateley Manor is a friendly school and I would recommend visiting to understand whether it would suit your family as it has certainly worked well for ours.
Our son has been at Yateley Manor for 8 years since Nursery and in his words everything about the school is "awesome". He described the teachers as focussed and the choice of after school activities as huge. As parents we have always been very happy with the levels of communication and how easy it is to access teachers to discuss matters should a problem arise. The teaching is of a consistently high standard and the behaviour of the children is generally impeccable. Senior schools often comment on how easy it is to spot a Yateley Manor pupil! I would urge anyone considering Yateley Manor to make an appointment with the headmaster and see for yourself everything the school has to offer.
A wonderful school. Great pastoral care, broad curriculum and a huge number of extra-curricular activities. It provides every child with the opportunity to find out what they are really good at. It is a progressive school with strong leadership. The 'open door' policy with teachers and the Head Master results in a strong family feel to the school. Also, being open 8-6 every day is great for working parents!
