Master Whiteley and his team of instructors are technically impressive in every aspect of ITF Taekwondo and know how to get the best out of you. I would recommend Thames Valley TKD to anyone starting or returning to Taekwondo, my only regret was not joining sooner!”

“Really pleased we found this place! My daughter has been going to the Muay Thai classes regularly for about a month now and she loves it - always comes out buzzing. Dan and the other instructors are amazing. They keep the classes fun and engaging but they're not too soft either :) The kids seem to respect them too, which is so nice to see. The gym itself is impressive, it's been done out to a high standard and there's a boxing ring, a spectators area and even a CAGE upstairs (not something you see every day!) Loads of equipment. Loads of classes. Loads of 'Oossing'. Positive vibes. The short version: Get a membership.”

“Sandra and GBS Swim School are brilliant. The staff really make it. They're all really knowledgeable, kind and encouraging. They know their stuff. Small classes of no more than 6 and two members of staff in the pool with the children for beginners. My son is autistic and has ADHD. He had really struggled with lessons at a leisure centre. He had developed a fear of the water and he would get stressed and anxious even crossing bridges of shallow water. He's learned so much and he is such a confident and able swimmer now because of his lessons at GBS Swim School. He even jumps in at the deep end when we're at the pool as a family. Highly recommend.”

“Reading Academy is a truly great place to learn Wing Chun and Kali. A true, direct lineage from the early masters. There is a welcoming and fun athmosphere, but at the same time a serious school that will develop you as a fighter and a person, both mentally and physically.”

“Has a swimming pool, sports hall (badminton/ basket ball) and a studio for things like dance lessons etc. It's got decent amount of parking too. Cost wise, it's a bit above the average. But given the kind of facilities available, I dont mind.”

“My daughter attended Leighton Park From Year 8 to Year 11. She had an absolutely fantastic experience, and they gave her the most fantastic support with her dyslexia. She came as a young person with incredibly low self esteem due to her additional needs but left with enormous confidence, pride and 7 level 9 GCSEs, 2 level 8s an A* and a distinction* in a BTEC. She is now studying 4 A levels at college and is on a program to apply for Oxbridge and is seriously considering a career in politics. None of this would have been possible without the care and attention She received at LP. Their Individual Learning Centre where help is given to students with specific learning difficulties is top notch. Even more important than the qualifications is the sense of community and responsibility that my daughter learnt whilst there. All of the teachers genuinely care. We were so grateful when Covid hit, with how swiftly they put in to action on the line learning . She was Year 10 and taught every day. The pastoral care shines at this place. If you are considering Leighton Park for your son or daughter, I cannot recommend it highly enough.”

“Reading wado-kai is very welcoming. There is a lot of black belts and even if you're a beginner people are really welcoming and willing to teach you there is no discrimination. Sensei Rob has good connection with other surrounding wado-kai clubs. I love how he rotates his teaching sessions, one session it will be pad work to help focus with kumite, other session will be focus on kata where he breaks down the movement and it purposes. The club also teaches you the importance of pair work to help improve your ohyo. Very organise syllabus and interesting style of karate”
