As it is ideal for those who want to improve their English and enjoy reading and talking about books in a relaxed atmosphere. In weekly meetings you talk about the chapters you had to read „for homework“… always guided and supported by a very competent teacher. “I joined when I was 16 and since then I've kept going. I go even when I'm not initially in the mood because I know I will end up enjoying it even on a bad day. The class presents a good physical challenge and it has made me much stronger, faster and more flexible. Also it's very fun to get beaten up by black belts! The people who go are all very nice and great to hang out with. The instructor Mr Mayes is very professional and experienced. Definitely the best martial arts class in Brighton. Additionally, now I can also walk on rocks because my feet have become a lot harder. One of the best ways to do fitness and way more fun than going to the gym. 100% recommended.”

“I’ve had a couple of lessons as I’ve been away from the sport for a few years. The first was with Christine on a light wind day but was still really useful as she gave me some great tips on keeping the kite flying and also showed me the self rescue which I used the following week! My second lesson was with David on a much windier day. Again, I was given loads of really useful tips which gave me a really marked progression over the 2 hours spent together. Money very well spent!”

“When I started ballet as a 40 year old adult I assumed I would find a class in which we would just have a bit of fun and not really learn much and not be challenged. How wrong I was. At Brighton Ballet School vocational students and adults are treated the same. We are challenged to work hard, to push ourselves, to find the best of ourselves and to never accept the words "I can't". Taking exams is an wonderful added extra which allows us to see how far we have come in our dancing. And as well as all this - we also have fun and make new friends. If you just want to muck around for an hour then I'd suggest other places. But if you wish to have fun, get fit and strong and unleash your inner ballet dancer then this school is for you.”

“Completed my RYA 1&2 with Brighton Watersports. The instructors were great - patient, competent and thorough. Doing the training in fresh water at Piddinghoe is perfect for beginners as there's no tide to worry about and club house provides a warm refuge if you fall in.”

“Such a lovely warm swimming pool. I can't stress enough how warm it was! None of this heated to 24C but actually feels like you're standing in a snow storm warm!! Really warm!! Much appreciated when bobbing around in the water. This is such a hidden gem of a place. Nice size pool suitable for adults and children alike. Swimming lessons for the kids. Swimming sessions for adults that are so empty at times that you might be fooled into thinking it's your own private pool. All at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!”

But after we moved to Greenfields and started at the new school, I haven’t once heard, “I don’t want to go to school.” I also appreciate how the school nurtures and reinforces my child’s creative abilities. I love the practical lessons, such as gardening or forest classes, and lessons on happiness or helping parents. I’m also grateful that my child can have one-on-one sessions with the teacher when a topic is difficult or unclear.”
