“I had a fantastic lesson with Gemma and Sam today to fix my front crawl technique. Everything was broken down and explained at the perfect pace for me. The feedback and tips during the lesson helped me feel immediately more confident, and in addition they gave me drills to work on and cement what we'd covered. All in a very friendly environment with a few laughs shared. Would 100% recommend.”

“I went to the open day today and booked to do SUP and kayaking. Sam our paddle board instructor was great! We had a fun 45 minutes on the giant paddle board teaching us how to paddle and played some fun games. All the adults and children had a great time. Talia our kayaking instructor was also fab! Great instruction on how to move and manoeuvre in a kayak and more fun games. I had a fantastic experience here and would not hesitate to book and come back for learning more water sports in a safe and fun environment”

    West Hill Park School

    ★★★★☆ 4.7

“As a family, we can certainly sing the praises of West Hill Park. Our two children are very happy there and having one child who started out very quiet and shy, we have seen them grow in confidence and blossom. All of the teachers are extremely supportive and encouraging and nothing is too much trouble. We are over the moon with West Hill Park and would highly recommend this amazing school to anyone who is considering sending their child there.”

    Portsmouth School Of Gymnastics

    ★★★★☆ 4.6

“My daughter has been attending for a few weeks now and I can say without a doubt that's one of the best I've tried in the area. I can see the joy and excitement in her face for her achievements while participating in the classes. Every session is really well structured, there's order and every participant knows what they're doing and what's expected of them. The children are constantly monitored and instructed so there's constant learning and progression unlike some of other gyms we attended. It's a very save environment due to the well thought out facilities and of course the amazing coaches. Highly recommend this school!”

“Nice court, perfect for badminton, basketball, table tennis or other indoor sports and also offering a pool, a weight room and outdoor court recently modernised and seeing a lot of action. Parking is ample and has always more than a few unoccupied bays. In the heart of Southsea, 5min walk to the train station and within a minute from the student accommodation modern cluster. Several good pubs nearby to quench one's thirsty throat after an intense sports session.”

    Ravelin Sports Centre

    ★★★★☆ 4.1
    Open

“An impressive, modern sports centre. We went for a lane swim as the centre is open to the public. Had to register in order to book online, but not too much of a problem. Paid parking underneath the building (pay on exit - use the machine as no mobile coverage down there). The basement houses a climbing wall and ski simulator. Ground floor has the gym, which looked to be very popular, a huge reception area with a Starbucks, and the 25m pool. Had to book in at reception to get a slip of paper to scan in to the pool changing facilities (remember to save it as you'll need it to scan out too). Changing facilities were clean with free lockers and warm showers. Pool is wide and has moveable floor - half being given over to aqua aerobics when we were there. The lanes are a uniform 2m depth, so no lounging around at the shallow end. Pool was clean and lifeguards were attentive. Would definitely visit again.”

“Alton sports centre provides such a great selection of fitness classes. I am welcomed by the desk staff when I enter…. Particularly Sarah who knows most people. Y name who h is a real personal touch. The teachers that lead the classes I go to are so knowledgeable and ‘real’…. they provide options if you are not able to do some of the moves and are encouraging . I have enjoyed using the gym For over 2 years low. Give it a go…. It makes you feel great to meet up with other members and exercise!”

    G Ball Swim School

    ★★★★☆ 4.3
    Open

“I have found the G Ball swim school very flexible and was so pleased to get my 2 children into some summer holiday lessons where I didn't have to commit to an ongoing programme... although after the lessons I joined the waiting list for more as my children progressed so quickly and loved their teacher. The whole experience from communication to booking to attending was very easy and I appreciated this as a busy parent.”

“Rising sun is an amazing club to be in! My son started feeling very anxious and not wanting to join in. Other members helped him join in and he's enjoyed it ever since. The sensi accept all people, children and adults and are brilliant with those who have additional needs. Nothing is a problem for them and always approachable if you ever need to talk to them. Payment each week is cheap and discounts if you do more than 1 session a week! My son is thriving and looks forward to his lessons. There is no nastiness in the dojo and everyone respects eachother there.”
