“Wonderful Dance School for Kids! My twins both attend this dance school and absolutely love it! They do Baby Ballet as well as Ballroom and Latin, and they’re having a fabulous time. The teachers are patient, friendly, and make every class so much fun. It’s amazing to see how much confidence and skill my children have gained. The classes are well-structured, and there’s always such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic place for kids to dance and shine! ✨”

The classes are very affordable, and the uniform is reasonably priced too, which is a big plus for parents. “Louisa’s story led dance classes are fantastically engaging and brilliant fun! Louisa has such a skill of relating to the little ones in a fun and educational way! It is such a special time I have with my 3 year old son, to move together and share the dance experience. Just the other day I saw my son reading Dear Zoo, whilst doing all the actions, it was wonderful to see. He asks to do the class recording almost everyday, which is during lockdown has been a lifeline!! My son’s movement and musicality has started to blossom since doing Louisa’s classes. He is learning to listen, pay attention but let also break out with his own take on the moves, which are always open to interpretation. Every child and parent should have the opportunity to do these classes!! I’m so happy to have found them!”

“My daughter has attended the Ascot Academy of Dance for the last 3 years. She absolutely loves these classes and her teacher, Miss Lucie! She is not naturally a performing child and initially went as a hobby, with no intendion of taking part in performances, exams etc. However, Lucie is such a brilliant teacher, she has successfully encouraged and nurtured her, building her confidence up over time. “If you are looking for a dance school in or around Marlow, then I thoroughly recommend Marlow School of Dance. Sixteen years after first starting ballet lessons with them, my daughter danced in her final showcase this weekend. The teachers are amazing and have the perfect balance of encouraging the students to be the best they can be whilst genuinely caring about their wellbeing. There are performance opportunities and excellent ISTD exam results.My daughter is heading to university having learnt skills that will help her in the future and with dance friends for life.”

“We have had a wonderful experience with baby ballet Reading and Henley! Our daughter has always enjoyed going and has learnt so much, Miss Hollie has been fab and whenever the class has been covered by Miss Lucy she has been equally excited! She started in tinies and has since moved up to movers and both classes have been perfect to meet her needs, a kid that doesn’t always follow the rules and will happily dance off on her own, I have always appreciated the way this has been handled to keep her interested but also happy to be herself! “My twins have just started dance at ADS and it has been a really positive experience for us. Going into a group class is daunting for them but Miss Jillian and team have been fantastic at getting them involved without pressuring or rushing them. It’s lovely to watch and in the 8 weeks they’ve been going I’ve seen huge progress in their confidence. The creative movement class for the little ones is a perfect mix of games and learning basic positions. They all play as a group but also each lesson each child has an opportunity to do an individual movement dancing with a scarf or a movement round a circle while all the other kids watch and clap. It really is a perfect formula for intro to dance!”

“I owe my entire professional career to Miss Sarah. I came to her when I was 13, and I know that it was her passion, knowledge and exceptional teaching that won me scholarships to Dance & Musical Theatre colleges. Most dance schools have a separate teacher for each discipline (ballet, tap, jazz etc). Miss Sarah was my ballet teacher, my jazz teacher and my tap teacher, because she is at the top of her profession in every genre. The dedication, belief and energy she gives to every one of her pupils is unbelievable. She puts her heart and soul into her students and her classes. And you only have to look at The Lodge's exam results, and the success rate in getting her students in to full-tine professional colleges, to see the level of dancers that she produces. It was 100% worth doing a choreographed first dance and, although nerve-wracking, removed the awkward swaying we would have done! We were surprised by how much we achieved in just 3 lessons! They’re one of the very best in Berkshire for true foundations in street styles - especially locking, popping, house, lite feet, old school hip hop and breaking (plus the occasional workshops in Afro, waacking, and more over the years). If you want to learn it right, learn it here. Their competition credentials speak for themselves. Not only that, you get all the endorphins you need from this feel-good group. You aren’t moulded into a carbon copy of each other or the teacher/s, you’re can bring your individual style whilst respecting the foundations/origins of the style. Plus every dancer in whole company can take part in their annual show without audition. I’ve especially loved learning from Jenna in the advanced adult class on a Monday for the last few years. I’ve seen the improvement and can bring that through amongst the other Reading dance companies I perform/take class with. (They also actively encourage learning from wherever you can).”
