“Fantastic summer camp experience! Great mix of dancing, singing & crafts. My daughter loved her week at SSD!”
“I tried 5 different dances at dansebase and enjoyed all of them. The teachers are friendly and they know how to share their passion. You come here for fun, to enjoy yourself, to relax and make friends, not for competition. The variety of dances taught at dance base is really an asset, as well as the possibility to book drop-in classes. My experience there is 100% positive!”
“What an excellent party my daughter had at DN Dance. The team were very friendly and welcoming. Miss Zoe kept the children entertained from start to finish and even cleared up after us! Thoroughly recommend this party venue!”
“This is an absolutely excellent dance school, my daughter has been going since the age of 1! Her confidence has grown so much and she has met a lovely group of friends. The teachers she has had are so friendly and nurturing with the children, always including everyone even on their off days. I catch my little girl practising her dance moves around the house and it makes me burst with pride. I know she enjoys it and she has the biggest smile on from the moment she gets her uniform on. All the staff have been very friendly to us, it is a clean and safe space and the equipment is great. Highly recommend and I always recommend to parents.”
“100% recommend JHM! The whole team are amazing. The staff, teachers and helpers are super friendly, highly experienced and have been amazing with my daughter. She has been dancing here since she was 3 and met some great friends, she also had a birthday party here! Show time is also fantastic!”
“My daughter has been attending ASDS for a year and she absolutely loves it! Having started in the 90 minute Gateway class, she is now in the main school class and has added acro and ballet into the mix there too. The encouragement from all of the teachers is wonderful, and I can't believe how much her confidence has grown. She is so excited to go every week and learn more skills. She has big ambitions to have a stage career when she's older and ASDS is the perfect place for her to learn her craft.”
“I was very lucky to have been given Freddie as my partner and teacher for a Strictly-style charity event, where I had to learn a cha cha that was to be performed in front of 150 people, in a relatively short space of time. Freddie's passion for dance, skill in teaching, confidence in my ability and calm demeanour made the whole experience an amazing one for me. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending Freddie and Nuno's dance4passion classes.”
“My daughter has attended classes at Dance Fusion for over 10 years, starting at their original premises in Livingston & transitioned over when they relocated to Bathgate. With a variety of styles & classes to suit all abilities, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the school to anyone looking for classes for their little ones.”
“Great dance school! My daughter is one of those shy girls and has really opened up since she started going to mini acro. She has also learned a lot there and is always happy to go to classes!”
“My daughter has been attending Southside for almost 5 years now. She has gone from strength to strength adding classes as she goes and she’s yet to come across a class that she doesn’t just adore! The teachers are so friendly and the classes are fun and challenging. My daughter has sat many exams too, they’re always optional but it’s lovely to know she has that option to continue on with them if she wants. My son has just started too and loved it as well. He came bouncing out and excitedly spoke about how much fun he had all day. Couldn’t recommend it enough”
“Dance discovery is a welcoming, nurturing and inclusive dance school. My daughter is autistic and dyspraxic and has been included l, encouraged and loved since the moment she joined! The teachers always go above and beyond to help the children grow and develop in to confident dancers. I 100% reccommend anyone to join and become part of the dance family ❤️”
“My little girl has just started over the last few months. She is the shyest wee girl that doesn’t ever want to leave my side and not being able to talk yet probably makes it a bit harder for her. However after about 4 weeks of her crying every time I left her, she now lets go of my hand with no issues. She comes out showing me what she’s learned each class. She spends time in between ballet and musical theatre doing the things she done there. I’ve already noticed more confidence in her in this short time. Miss Amber and the staff/girls at forefront have been amazing and their patience has put trust in me to leave her with them. I’m excited to see where her forefront journey takes her!”
“The little one loves her classes here. The cafe is excellent too with good coffee (your choice of milks) and fresh bakes. Seats outside and inside so it's worth a stop just for refreshments.”
“My daughters have been attending the classes for many years now (I guess it would be close to 7). I would Recommend Waterfront dance studio anyone, more importantly they would too For a small business the place is organised, professional and very, very friendly. Every two years the entire school takes part in there large show. The show is very professionally prepared and choreographed. Its a huge confidence building experience for the young dancers to perform in front of large audience and pure joy for parents and others watching the show. Its been a privilege so far, I’m so happy that My daughters are part of this exceptional, extended family of dancers.”
“My 5 year old daughter has been attending Angela Watson’s for two terms and is loving it! She is making friends, learning new skills and is confident and her posture lovely. We enrolled her in the October holiday programme as well which she loved & worked well for us in terms of holiday cover. Highly recommend.”
“Bachata Blues Edinburgh is hands-down one of the best dance schools I’ve attended. The quality of the classes is outstanding—everything is clearly structured, well-paced, and thoughtfully designed so you can truly progress week after week. Each lesson builds on the last, making the learning journey feel smooth and genuinely rewarding. Highly recommend getting the block of classes as the lessons are structured within those. The instructors are exceptional. Their strong professional qualifications and artistic careers really shine through in the way they teach—technique is explained in a way that’s easy to understand, and they always take the time to refine details without making the class feel overwhelming. You can tell they’re passionate about both the dance and the students’ development. The environment is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have experience, you immediately feel included and supported. The whole community has a warm, positive energy that makes every class enjoyable and motivating. If you're looking for high-quality bachata classes in Edinburgh with expert instructors, a clear learning structure, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, Bachata Blues Edinburgh is the perfect place to learn and grow. Highly recommended!”
“My daughter is a student at West Lothian Dance School, and she’s having the absolute best time! She loves dancing and looks forward to every single class. Beyond learning new dance moves, she’s also made some wonderful new friends. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a fantastic group of parents as well. It’s been such a positive experience all around!”
“Lovely leisure centre staff. Nice clean new building. Great teachers.”
“My daughter has been attending SOTS for the past 2 years and has really enjoyed it. Shannon and her team are excellent at getting the very best out of each child and providing them with the platform and support to excel. Would highly recommend.”
“I really enjoy the Street Fusion adult dance classes, run by Leah. She always comes up with fun routines to catchy music. Leah’s teaching style is very inclusive, as there is no pressure to get the routine exactly right. We just have fun and I always feel great after the class. The dance studio is nice too - spacious and light. All around good energy and vibes!”
“I don’t think there are enough positive words to describe how kind, nurturing and welcoming Klass Dance family are. When my daughter first started she was extremely nervous and without having to voice my concerns the dance teachers adapted their teaching style to ensure she felt welcome. As a mum this instantly put me at ease and made me realise Klass dance school was different, there is no pressure and all children are welcomed and encouraged to reach their full potential. Fast forward nearly two years and my daughter is confident, thriving and has taken part in two phenomenal dance shows! The production is so impressive you almost forget this is a child’s dance school. I couldn’t think of a better place for my daughter to go through her formative years. The standard of dance is excellent, there is the opportunity to sit exams should you wish, there is a great variety of classes, competition teams and most of all your children are safe and having fun. The dance teachers love your kids and it shows. My daughter wants to grow up and be a dance teacher like Miss Kassy, Miss Abbie, Miss Leanne, Miss Boyle, Miss Lexi and Miss Katie xx”
“I went there and everyone is so nice”
“Little dance school with big potential.”
“I attended Manor, from 1985 - 1990. We moved down south but i remember my dance life always started here. Now i don't dance but i have amazing memories and I received my RAD grade... i literally was only 16 - 18. My colour changed but my head also changed as well. I travelled and attended university mostly in Brighton. Afterwards I studied Media Production and photography. Great times... Any dancer understands your colour changes as you pass your grades.. lavender , etc etc”
“Great staff nice people good for children”
“Whether dancing for fun and exercise or more competitively, Daniela and Nathalie support and inspire all the dancers. Everyone is made to feel welcome and encouraged to achieve.”
“We held my daughters 6th Bithday at LCDC, it was perfect. Louise and her staff were amazing! Ive held parties all over Edinburgh and would absolutely recommend LCDC, we will be back next year! Thank you all for a wonderful day!”
“Zayna dance academy provides a loving, kind and nurturing environment for young dancers. My daughter started here at 3 years old and absolutely loves the teachers and pupils and has gained so many new friends as well as loads of confidence and flexibility. They also provide brilliant holiday camps, parties and trips to the theatre. Highly recommended!”
“Learning Salsa and Bachata here has been amazing! I've been coming here for a few weeks now and Ami's passion for teaching truly shows! What's even better is that these lessons are free on Fridays and Saturdays!”
“Felt at ease and welcome after a long break from ballet. Teacher was accommodating and friendly. Lovely location too.”
