“Best nursery in Midlothian my son has been there since 4 months old and the staff are Exceptional, they provide a very high standard of care and are always helpful if you have any questions. Definitely Highly recommend this nursery for anyone looking for a place to put there kids in.”
“UPDATED OK so we visited on the open day which was good to see if this nursery stacks up to the other premium nurseries in the area. The nursery itself is good and seems the space was well thought out. The rooms have lots to entertain and teach. The staff on the whole were very welcoming and there seems to be a lot of staff that have worked for the school a long time. They cater for approx 30 children and they work at a ratio on 1:5. It gets 4 stars due to the final 3 minutes of my visit. During the visit I was happy we were made to feel welcome as an ethnic minority. However, whilst they were packing up for the day I witnessed a worker quite disparagingly question the placement of a black doll, at first she was quite stunned at its existence in the nursery... "but THIS doll, what is it doing here". In that one moment there was no way I would ever put my mixed race son in this nursery. I have neither the desire or inclination to pay for additional therapy or have a son emotionally embarrassed of one side of his heritage. However, if this doesn't concern you it's still a good nursery, not great, but still good. UPDATE: I have changed this from a 4 to a 5 because a few months ago (about three months after my original post), the nursery contacted me stating that they were investigating the issue and reached out to me. I genuinely feel that they took my comments seriously so I am happy to review my initial assessment. The fact that they looked into the situation reassured me. So now I am happy to give the 5 star review. Apologies that I could not get back to you. I had some pressing matters to deal with. I hope you gave the person some inclusion training. My child is the best part of me and I have to believe that his wellbeing and education are safe in your hands. I am happier now. Still one of the best nurseries in Edinburgh.”
“Wild place, straight out of GTA. School getting ddosed, police chases, anime club, food fights, fist fights, people brining benches into the place, therapy animals, drugs in boxes on the walls. The equipment is definitely in need of repair, saw an electric mixer still operate, after turning the speed off. Some ghost or something. Place is 60 years old, it really does show, rotting ceilings, rats, windows falling off the walls. The physical damage from the rot doesn't compare to the experience of this monument. It's definitely one of the schools.”
