Lovely 2 night stay, very comfortable. Showers had leaky hoses, minor fix. Hot tub could of been abit warmer but it was fine otherwise. Takeaways in next villiage deliver.
Just spent a wonderful weekend in Carpenters Cottage - wow. Everything was beyond perfect, attention to detail is fabulous. The beds are so comfortable, you have everything at your finger tips it is simply amazing. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Will be back very soon.
Had a 4 night stay here this week from 21st August 2023 in the Carpenters Cottage. Lovely rooms and great welcome pack with fresh eggs, milk and bread etc. The downfall was the hot tub broke after 2 nights. The owners were away so unfortunately wasnt fixed for the rest of our break there. Really disappointing as that's why we booked there. Great location though.
We had a great evening, over 11000 people there. Our only gripe, the fireworks were advertised for 8pm but didn't start till 8.30pm, got the impression from the commentator that, that was always going to be the time, was a bit late for the young children we had with us, other people thought the same. May consider somewhere else next year.
My friend wanted a weekend with a hot tub. So I recommended pig pen. I had stayed many times. We both loved it. There was fresh milk butter eggs and bread all locality produced. We love how the TV can be turned to watch TV in the hot tub. On a working farm but 100 % private. Breakfast outside on the terrace is my favourite place. Lights on the terrace at night. 3 nights of paradise. Hoping to return soon
We've had numerous of excellent stays in the Holiday Cottages. perfectly clean and very well styled. Very comfortable bed and the hot tub is an extra treat! The food in the tea room is lovely and the staff, particularly Jayne and Reuben Peters are super friendly.
Woodside Cottage is furnished to a high standard and was very clean on arrival. Reasonably well equipped with cooking utensils etc. Hot tub a nice bonus. Jayne & Frank are lovely hosts. Around if needed but left me to myself. Definitely recommend staying here.
The cottage was situated in a lovely village and was a wonderful place to stay. It was spotlessly clean and very nicely presented, plenty of outdoor space with the added bonus of a hot tub. The welcome package was more than expected and all contributed to an amazing stay.
Have been staying in the one of the a cottages for a month while waiting for a house to go through. Cottage perfect, has all amenities needed plus a great welcome package. Outside jacuzzi which wasn't on with it being late autumn but would be lovely in the hot weather. The owner Jane is so nice and provided us with clean bedding and towels each week. If we were moving away I would definitely stay here to visit our family.
