I met John Pimlott for the first time in 2009, when a farmers' market started in the Staffordshire town of Rugeley where I live. You couldn't really ignore his stall, John was cooking bacon there and its drifting smell tempted in many people as curious as I was. That Christmas I ordered a Park Hill beef topside joint and another of gammon, and they both got such good receptions that I've had Christmas meat from John ever since. Sadly, the Rugeley market closed in 2010 but I soon tracked the Pimlott stall to a monthly market in Stone, and now either buy fresh meat there (the sausages are good) or order online. John and his wife, Pat, are friendly, welcoming and efficient, and I can't praise their farm meats highly enough. Why not give them a go? See them - and me! - at the High Street market in Stone on the first Saturday of the month?

Myself, partner (Jordan) and our dog came for a one night camp. We are very happy we found this hidden gem. The views and the sun set is breathtaking. The toilets were very clean. We enjoyed visiting the pigs. There is a lovely forest that we walked through with the dog. There is a pub nearby however we didnt go. The owners are lovely and friendly, couldnt do enough for us and made sure we knew everything we needed to about the site. We will definitely return.

My wife and I attended the Shrewsbury Flower Show and wanted to get a bite to eat. There was a significant variety of food vendors present and we decided to get a bite from Park Hill Farm. We had the Double Sausage + Dry Cured Bacon Bap (£6.60). Service was great and the bap was delicious. Fresh tasting, not greasy with a fresh bun. Would consider their products in the future.

Excellent quality beef from a farm that puts animal welfare first. Extremely first rate steaks.

A lovely day out but a little disappointed by what was on offer having read previous reviews. It was very reasonably priced with lovely friendly staff and the coffee shop is reasonable and warm! There was a LOT of soft play in various places but not as many animals as we thought. ... The pig race is brilliant and almost worth the visit just to see that! Worth a trip if you have very little ones. Our older children (10 and 13) were not so impressed.
