The Olde Jack under new management was amazing. We had a fantastic meal and the service was spot on. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely pub in the middle of charming countryside. On about 15 occasions when we've eaten here the food has been superb, reasonably priced and piping hot. The 10oz halibut fillet was sensational! One of our favourite places.

Expensive for the quality of the some of the food. Steak & ale pie was delicious. but... Chips served as a congealed, greasy lump oozing grease. Pizza running with oil. The young waiter barely spoke to us when laying our table and serving. The lady that took our order was cheerful and helpful though. It's a busy village pub so don't expect a quiet dining experience. Very average overall and i wish we had ventured further afield. Perhaps surprising that the more simple menu items were so poor yet the more complex dishes were great.

A friendly welcome from the staff. The pub was a bit rowdy/noisy. Overall we didn't think the quality matched the higher prices of this pub. The gammon and egg was very oily. The desserts tasted like shop bought.

I parked up for the night here to break up my journey. The staff were friendly and helpful, fine with me camping there for the night. I had dinner which was absolutely delicious. Perfect salmon, chips and veggies. They were lovely. I, personally, wasn't struck on the dessert menu with no sticky toffee pudding/Chocolate fudge cake/crumble offered. So I opted for the Baileys and White Chocolate Cheesecake and I have to say I didn't like it and wouldn't recommend it at all! Horrible texture and no flavour which was a shame because the dinner was beautiful!! The place was spotless with toilets that were absolutely immaculate! dogs and children are welcome. The kiddies all got given a balloon to take away which was nice. Outdoor seating available and enough parking with an extra car park at the top. Overall a really nice place for dinner and a peaceful night's sleep!

Wonderful evening to celebrate a birthday. Food was excellent as usual ,served by smiling staff who catered for our every need. The atmosphere was brilliant as many people were watching the world cup as England beat Senegal. Thank you Chef Neil , Linda and staff. We will be back

Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch, the company was lovely and the meal was fantastic. I had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, everyone's meal looked good, we all struggled to finish our main course but we all managed a desert.

Excellent food! It was really quiet on a Thursday afternoon. We had the lamb shank with a side of vegetables, which was incredible, and vegetable lasagne, which was also very good.
