Systemic failure: false delivery scans, misleading “area issue”, repeat parcel losses This is now beyond unacceptable. What DPD is doing appears to be a systemic operational failure, not isolated mistakes. DPD marked my parcel as “attempted delivery” despite no driver attending my address. I have a Ring doorbell and CCTV — there was no delivery attempt at all. The parcel was never shown as out for delivery. Immediately after this false scan, tracking changed to “area issue” — a vague, meaningless status that provides no explanation and no accountability. This is the same sequence of events I experienced previously when DPD lost a £2,000 iPhone in their network. Now it is happening again with a laptop. Same courier. Same excuses. Same lack of transparency. DPD then requests “additional information” while still failing to attempt delivery, effectively stalling the process. Meanwhile, the retailer (Amazon) is forced to treat the order as a potential loss and initiate refund/replacement checks — penalising the customer for DPD’s failures. This pattern strongly suggests: Drivers or depots falsely marking delivery attempts Parcels not leaving depots at all “Area issue” being used as a generic cover status No meaningful investigation or communication with the customer Customers are left stressed, time is wasted, and trust is completely eroded. This is not how a professional logistics company should operate. False tracking events, misleading statuses, and repeated losses of electronics are serious issues, not minor inconveniences. At this point, I do not trust DPD with any parcel, especially electronics or items of value. I would strongly advise customers to avoid DPD where possible, and retailers to reconsider using them unless they want repeated delivery failures and unhappy customers. DPD urgently needs oversight, accountability, and transparency — because this level of service is simply not fit for purpose

Driver is alleged to have tried to deliver a parcel to me today, the postcode for delivery is unique to the company I work for yet the driver has tried to deliver to a housing estate. For context I work at a sewage works!!

I would give 0 stares if possible. The delivery driver Eduard has been extremely rude. He do not hand over the parcel the first time and was being verbally aggressive. The second time he took a picture saying he attention deliver the parcel but did knock or get in contact even once!! Really disappointed

When I have my usual driver, he always finds my address every time, but when I get a randomer they never deliver the parcel. It's not like I live in the middle of nowhere either, I live in next to a town centre. And then they have the cheek too say they missed me, when I have been in all day and no one buzzed or knocked, just sent a picture of their 'Sorry we missed you card' as they didn't even bother to post that, so how on earth they can say they attempted delivery when they clearly just decided it's too much hassle to actually try and deliver the parcel and even the missed you note....

I placed an online order through Costco because I don’t drive and currently have a 2-week-old baby, making it difficult to collect heavy items myself. Despite being at home and watching out for the delivery, the driver simply took a photo of the main entrance and drove off—without attempting to knock or ring. The parcel was then dropped off at a store 30 minutes away from my home, which was completely unreasonable. I called customer service to report this, but the representative insisted it was “impossible” for the driver to take a photo and leave—despite that being exactly what happened. I had no choice but to cancel the order because the parcel was too heavy for me to collect, and the drop-off point was too far. On top of that, the delivery fee wasn’t refunded. Unfortunately, it’s happened again. This time, I ordered work shoes, and the delivery driver, MARTIN, repeated the exact same behaviour—took a picture of the main entrance and left without making any real delivery attempt. I genuinely don’t understand why DPD drivers do this. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially when customer service offers no real support or solution. These repeated failures are unacceptable and leave customers like me feeling ignored and powerless. I expect a proper investigation into this and a meaningful resolution—not a generic response

Driver delivered to wrong street. Can’t even read street names. Took photo of house, I went round to the house and they know nothing about it. Thanks DPD, I love losing money.

My opinion on DPD. This review is written on 02/11/2022. This week I was waiting for delivery by this courier company. the parcel should be delivered the next day, not to my address but to a neighbor. It turned out that the courier, despite the instructions, did not leave with a neighbor, but left a note on my door with the reference number. After contacting the customer service office and explaining the whole situation, the consultant assured me that the instructions were saved in the system and the package would be delivered the next day. The next day the situation repeated, so I called the customer service again and explained the situation once again. My interlocutor informed me that he would not be able to help me. When asked if I could talk to the manager, I was informed that he was very busy and there was no time to talk. Similar information was given to me when I asked about the supervisor. Eventually the parcel was delivered on the 4th day I took a vacation. During the conversation with the courier who was very rude to me, he announced that he did not have time to wait. So, on a scale of 1 to 10, my rating is -5 for customer service and -10 for a driver who does not follow the delivery instructions. I hope I won't have to use DPD services again.
