   I've returned from my first tour with Andante Travels (to Pompeii & the Naples area) and it was excellent. The small (18) group size, all inclusive price, free single supplement were all pluses, but the lecturer guide, Jamie, & tour manager, Debbie really made it work It's an active programme & there's no real downtime, but visiting all the archaeological sites & museums was so much more interesting with a guide who knows Roman history inside out & can share that info in an accessible way. It also meant you didn't miss the best bits within the huge mass of things on show And a thank you to our lovely coach driver, Giovanni, who was so generous with biscuits from his wife & fruit from his garden. I'm happy to recommend Andante.

   It very unlikely to book another holiday with your company following an incident that happened on a booked tour to Santorini and Crete. So you can stop emailing me. I fell getting down from the airport bus at Santorini which resulted in a two week stay in hospital there and Athens. Plus, a further 2 weeks back in Chichester. There were 3 calls from your tour manager during the week but nothing from Andante merely a cancellation charge of all the monies paid for the holiday when my wife and I merely flew to Santorini.    I am not generally one to write a scathing review but have decided to add to my previous Andante review as we have just received an email offering 10% discount if we book a tour and pay in full 12 months in advance. DO NOT do this! This is exactly what we did and when Andante then cancels the tour, they make you wait 2 plus months for your refund. We are still waiting for our AUD19,500 (£9,600) to be refunded back whilst needing to pay for another tour with another tour group at very late notice. Andante has had our money for 12 months invested - they promised in their response to my previous review that it would be paid back a week ago and we are still waiting! If I could give this company zero stars in the review I would.

   Andante was once an excellent travel company that my husband travelled a few times with enjoying their historical tours. However, I cannot express how angry I am with how poorly they now treat their customers. We were recently given 3 months notice that they were cancelling a tour that 4 of us booked and paid for in full 12 months ago. Almost 6 weeks later we are still waiting for our refund. I understand this delay if we had cancelled out but when the company makes this decision, they surely would have the refund process in place. We are currently waiting for 9960.00 GBP per couple to be refunded which is equivalent to approximately $19,500.00 AUD. We have needed to find a replacement tour with a different, and hopefully more reliable tour company, that fits in with our available dates, and pay for this tour. I have contacted Andante a few times chasing up our refund and they respond with the usual apologies but we're still waiting. Not good enough Andante - we'll never use you again!

   A professional company who organised an excellent guided tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum. The tour manager, hotel, meals and all travel arrangements were as promised. I can't recommend this company enough.

   Andante used to be wonderful and I had some marvellous holidays with them. It appears that it is now impossible to contact them: a phone message left a week ago has gone unanswered, as has an email. And this is not the first time....

   This Company refused to refund our money when our holiday to Italy was cancelled last year as a result of the pandemic. This was contrary to their own Terms and Conditions (which they are happy to apply to their customers) and the Package Travel Regulations 2018. Not only that but they then refused to comply with a Court Order so that we had to go to the further hassle of getting a Third Party Debt Order to retrieve our refund directly from their account. We have never dealt with such an unprofessional company before and cannot recommend them.

   I travelled with Andante on a tour of Crete & Santorini in 2018 and it was a fantastic experience. Visiting iconic sites such as the Palace of Knossos in the company of an expert guide brought the area’s history to life and helped me put things into context. Accommodation and food were great, and the pace of the tour was busy but felt very full - not a moment was wasted. I would thoroughly recommend visiting archaeological sites in the company of an expert, there’s nothing quite like it.

   Was really looking forward to a tour of Hampton Court Palace with Suzannah Lipscomb on April 9th which was postponed to July 9th due to COVID. July 9th is also cancelled and we can’t make the alternative date. Offered a credit note but it is no use as it is this specific tour that we wanted not any of the others they offer, so we can’t rebook as we still cannot make the alternative dates for this specific tour. We are entitled to a refund but they won’t issue one, this really isn’t treating customers fairly.
