Went for Sunday dinner have been a few times recently and had very positive experiences. Today was a big let down service was very poor. First brought the wrong starter then had to wait ages and ask when we were going to get our main course. Other people who came in after us were served quicker. Had to wait ages for our plates to be taken away. Asked for a dessert menu appeared to be completely overlooked so we decided to pay and leave without ordering will not be coming back it’s a shame but service was very very poor

We visited here after our 5 mile walk around Haughmond & the abbey. We hadn’t booked a table. But despite being busy (clearly a popular place). The staff were really friendly and accommodating and we were seated. We had starters and a main. Too full for dessert although they all looked great options. We had gammon & the Corbet burger for mains. Look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Great little coach house tucked away in a quiet little village. Rooms extremely well presented with all requirements met. My room was very spacious with a king-size bed and well proportioned ensuite shower room. Dinner was of a good standard with a well stocked bar and good choice of beers on tap. Would certainly recommend to others.

Beautiful views over the field looking west as my mate and I ate steak and ale pie and a burger after a river walk from Shrewsbury. Took us 1.5hrs to get there by foot from town, sauntering along. Food was good quality, tasty, simple, cooked well. Was a quiet Friday afternoon when we ate, so wait times were minimal.

We celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday here and there were 32 of us dining and we had such a lovely time. The staff were brilliant to deal with while we were planning and collating everyone’s meal orders and decorated the room for us after I had left balloons there earlier in the day. That was a lovely surprise. The food was delicious and arrived without any problems. We felt looked after and the whole evening was fabulous.

What a great place to visit. Great beer and wine selection. Good pricing compared to what else is around. Food quality is really good, so much so that they are mostly very busy and I would suggest making a booking. It has a really nice outside seating area with amazing river view. I would most definitely suggest going here to friends and family.

I got such a friendly welcome from the team when I arrived later in the evening after a long drive. Everyone was so chatty and the service was great when I had my evening meal and in the morning. Highly recommend as it was immaculately clean, the room was fabulous and very comfortable. 5 stars all round.

We were here for a Christmas work Dinner. 6 of our party stopped overnight. The rooms were immaculate, warm and comfortable. Staff were efficient and lovely. Fantastic location. Nothing negative to say about this place. Thank you for your hospitality.

We booked the room with the four poster bed for our pre Christmas weekend away, and decided to also book the Christmas menu. The room was fantastic, the bed was super comfy, shower hot and powerful. The only downside is that there is no internal access to the pub, you have to go outside a short way. Minor issue though. Meal was lovely, no complaints at all. Service from everyone was great but the young lady who worked both Saturday night and Sunday morning was particularly praiseworthy as she was still smiling and happy even while doing breakfast service and checkout on her own. We didn't get to see all of Shrewsbury so will return in the summer and will again book room 6. Thank you to the team

Went for lunch. Great menu and reasonably priced . Food great. Would definitely recommend and go back again. If you vape or smoke don't get caught out like me. The signs on the back patio are very small warning it no smoking area. However there is a great area under cover down the steps. All in all a fabulous lunch with River views
