The queue is sometimes long for prescriptions and enquiries, but this is managed well and the staff are efficient and friendly. Text reminders for prescriptions are useful and they let you know when your prescription is ready. Good selection of goods ranging from vitamins and hair care to beauty products.

Consistently excellent. I think some of the reviews are a little unfair; they have 1000s of prescriptions to process and it isn't always immediate. It does take time, and that's not Boots fault, that's just having limited pharmacies. They twice owed me medicine, but not because they didn't order enough stock; turns out I just have a very unusual asthma inhailer, which they now order. Staff have always been lovely to me.

Changed my pharmacy to here over a postal pharmacy to receive medication faster. I've immediately returned to my old pharmacy. I asked for a copy of the prescription I was collecting and was loudly questioned why I needed it on three occasions in front of a queue of people. It is my personal data so I have a right to it and to be made to feel attacked abd humiliated was not on. Would not recommend at all.

Booked an appointment for Flu jab. Waited for 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged me and then had to go back later due to waiting times. When I went back later that day, the same thing happened again. Shocking system when you have pre booked a flu jab for a specific time. Get you flu jab done elsewhere.

The Pharmacy has really gone down hill. Had a text to say my prescreiption was ready to pick up, when i picked up only part of my prescripion was available! (Why send a text saying its axailable?) Told to keep coming back and trying for the rest!!! 3 trips and 10 days later, still not available.

It ls sad to see this shop run down and not updated when you walk inside you can tell it never had a refurbishment but the big boots in other areas look smashing and up to date. DO PEOPLE from Alvaston not deserve a nice frontage and updated shop?

Never answer the phone. Never download the prescriptions until you ask them and that is when they order the items you need. Just a complete mess. Store is grubby and in desperate need of a refit.

Never answer the phone, premises are really dirty. Long wait for prescriptions often can't find them. Some staff are lovely others are extremely rude, zero customer service skills. Prescription couldn't be found, despite day before saying it was ready. Complained and was told I could go elsewhere.

What a disappointment Boots Pharmacy has become. Prescription was ordered 10th June, another was ordered 13th June. Went to collect on 14th, Fridays prescription was out of stock but Mondays was available. I was told they would be in stock later in the day. I went into today 18th, waited for 20 minutes (no one in the shop) ended up telling them to forget it and I would go back to my GP and change my pharmacy. I received a call from Boots yesterday in an unprofessional way they tried telling me the mix up over my prescription wasn't their fault My reply was 'oh but it was" I was accused of being abusive and the phone was put down on me.I am 70 years old and in all those years there are very few times I have been rude or abusive to anyone I think the staff at Boots Alvaston need some customer training.
