   Me and my friends (all 20 year old girls) got shoved by an older man, who then punched my friend when we shoved him back. Security proceeded to kick us out and then let him out back at the end of the night because we were waiting for him outside. Turns out the mate he was with was off-shift Security. This man wasn’t gay, as previous to this he was harassing us group of girls in the club. This club doesn’t protect the LGBTQ and is insanely dangerous as the staff are corrupt and do not protect us!!

   I experienced extreme harassment from the door staff at this venue. I ordered my friend an uber home since he was sick, the door staff kept insulting me, repeatedly saying he would “die of hypothermia” because I didn’t take him fully home, despite waiting until his transport arrives as i had to get home myself. Their tone was aggressive, intimidating, and completely unprofessional. They then banned me from the club for no valid reason. As a young female I felt intimidated and I had to walk away and wait for my transport somewhere else as the insults wouldn’t stop and they kept calling me a horrible friend, a disgusting person etc… It was around 3am and i should’ve felt safe waiting next to the venue however it was the exact opposite. The incel security team seems to be on a power trip, making excuses to harass women instead of acting professionally, not to mention my friend got home okay and he is disgusted with how they treated me.

   One of the best and most comfy clubs, however had some bad experience with getting in the club as I have extended passport and they did not want to accept it , cause they need to scan one page only, and extension stamp of my passport is on different page. My passport is up to date, however security just doesn't want to bother, so wasn't let in for several times, depending on what security guy is on the doors

   I've been coming to the edge for a few years and have always had great fun. On Saturday night my friend unfortunately became unwell though and I just wanted to say how grateful we are to the security staff for all their help. I think the guy that helped us the most was called Craig. Thank you so much for helping my friend. Just to update, we got her home safely and she made a full recovery ❤️

   Fun venue with a great atmosphere The Edge has a lively vibe with two dance floors (ground and upstairs), a cloakroom, and an outdoor smoking/seating area. It stays open until 5am on Fridays and Saturdays. Entry was £7 when I visited. Unfortunately, the experience was soured right at the entrance — despite having my ID ready, one of the doormen made a rude comment about my outfit (just black shorts and a black t-shirt). Totally uncalled for and unprofessional. Not the kind of welcome you'd expect at any venue, especially one that should feel inclusive. Shame really, as the rest of the night was decent. But that kind of attitude might put me off returning.

   Tedious entry requirements and limits, overbearing and almost hostile door staff and management, rather than being the edge, it seems to be the very deepest of pits. It's a wonder anyone ever comes in or they stay in business with their practise.

   We are new customers as were looking for a regular place to go, even though we live over 100 miles away. I'd read some quite bad reviews about the door staff and grumpy bar staff and it did put me off going a little but been 4 times now and found it incredibly welcoming, friendly staff (except one) and the door staff are absolutely wonderful. We travel around inclusive bars a lot for work and this feels very safe and inclusive. I can't fault it at all other then costs, drinks are quite expensive at a weekend and the quality of them especially the vodka and postmix isn't good, also the entrance charge is high at £7 but you can avoid this if you goto the box bar next door before 10pm which is ok as you are supporting a really good venue, you can also purchase their membership card which costs £30 but you will get discounted entry and various promotions, although apparantly not on the drinks which is a shame but overall a cracking place with friendly people, friendly staff in a really fun and safe environment with a higher proportion of the gay community than other venues at around 60% so from our point of view it's worth the 200 mile trip each weekend, that says something :) It's important that we support good LGBTQ+ venues and keep are spaces and I'd definitely say this one is worth supporting.

   Great night ruined by rude staff and management. Upon arriving 0.0014 seconds over last entry (I know this because they decided to shove the CCTV video in our faces). From a polite discussion on our end trying to find out the underlying issues the security clearly had, we were met with aggressive behaviour as well as swearing and shouting in our faces. Jill - the elderly security guard was laughing at us which was quite bizarre considering she kept on persisting she was trying to help. This is when the manger came out whom was clearly under the influence of something although he spitted at us persisting he was sober. He was not wearing socks and decided the hurl abuse at my friend in the form of shouting “FUCKING SLAG”. Not great for a club that is all about inclusivity.
