Absolutely fantastic team to support us with our house move; right from our first call, the attention and care from Lauren was spectacular. Now that we have moved in, we have had a couple of calls with Clare, who equally is just great, always friendly, and very responsive. Bespoke Lettings are without doubt the worst Lettings agent in Crewe. They certainly don’t look after the tenant, but also they have no respect for contractors who many times come out to quote and don’t get the job and they also do not protect the landlord as you’ll read. The property was 191 Ruskin Road - I’d urge anyone considering it to read this review. Feel free to look me up at The Dog’s Dinner to discuss this review - I’ll be happy to show photos and emails from Bespoke Lettings. We moved into the property a year ago and were told that the cracked bathroom sink and tiles would be repaired - they never were. The bath tap was faulty and was repaired however the plumber who did the job did not connect the overflow correctly causing a flood in the kitchen. The plaster fell off the ceiling and walls - this was never repaired - damage to our kitchen implements and pictures on the wall were “our problem” Images of the kitchen are attached - we lived with that through our tenancy. Early on we also reported a definite rising damp issue - Bespoke said they had “passed it on to the landlord” As temperatures dropped over Autumn the damp turned into mould - we reported it and were told it was a “ventilation issue” To get rid of mould in the middle of winter - “open the windows” The mould made me quite ill - no matter though Bespoke were getting their rent. It was OK though - we had central heating - but this was faulty - the radiators banged so loudly that the neighbours came round to complain about us hammering in the middle of the night! A plumber said he needed Bespoke to give him go ahead to fix it - they never did. Complaints to Bespoke by email were ignored. When we upped the tone of our emails they said they had “not seen them”. Still nothing was fixed though - the kitchen left unplastered, the damp left to rise… In March I emailed them to say that as they were repairing at their leisure, then I would pay the rent at my leisure. I cancelled the standing order. This got their attention …. Instead of fixing the problems we wanted fixing, they pushed an eviction notice through the door. Of course we ignored it - and they never chased it up. Hence my point that they don’t support landlords. An eviction notice pushed through the door is not overly legally binding - the words “by hand” were telling on the envelope. It was never mentioned by Bespoke Lettings. I paid the rent a month late from then on. What they didn’t realise was we were only renting as a property we had bought needed to be completely renovated along with rental properties we owned. Of course these will never be given to Bespoke Properties they are shambolic. We left the property on 23rd June We spent most of the 22nd cleaning the house from top to bottom. I knew that Bespoke would withhold the deposit for as long as they could. On 2nd July I gave seven days notice that I required a full deposit return or would take legal action On 9th July I submitted a County Court claim for the full amount (in excess of £1000) plus costs plus daily interest. I will request my solicitor to pursue the claim for me and her costs will also be added. At this point it will give me great pleasure if they ignore the claim just so I can instruct bailiffs. The final insult was yet to come. My partner who had originally moved in with me but lived away due to work responsibility received an email yesterday disputing the deposit. Bespoke Lettings claimed “damage” to the dining room wall and “weeds in the back garden” They didn’t copy me in on the email despite me being the person paying the rent. They didn’t acknowledge my notice of legal action. They didn’t refer the claim against the deposit to me as the nominee. Interesting too that the moment we moved out, all mouldy plaster was removed from the walls! In conclusion avoid Bespoke Lettings at all costs Should you wish to see the emails exchanged between us please contact me. I’ll keep this review updated as to the result of legal action

Throughout our time at the property Bespoke have been absolutely fantastic, incredibly professional and very supportive. No request is too big or small and they are always available to answer any queries. Any repairs have been completed in a timely manner and when we had a pipe burst they went above and beyond to ensure we had urgent repairs.
