   We were moving to Belper and wanted to support and use a local business. We checked the online reviews, unfortunately we did not know that there had been personnel changes in the conveyancing team since the majority of these were posted. The service we received did not align to what others had said in their reviews. Sadly, having now spoken to other recent clients we suspect our experiences are the new norm. We believe we would have received a better and cheaper service using one of the online conveyances. Absolutely no proactivity, it did not feel like they were on top of our transaction or listening to our clear instructions on what we required, we had to manage our chain and get updates from them as the communication from Killingworth & Parrot was appalling and, in our opinion, completely unprofessional. Both our conveyancer and her supervising director were keen to tell us how busy they were supporting other clients, it feels like a lack of resources to deliver an acceptable level of service to all their paying clients. They acknowledged to us that moving is a stressful process, hopefully they reflect on how their service, or indeed, lack thereof, increase the stress levels rather than help manage them.

   I writing this to thank Killingworth and Parrott for brilliant service earlier today. Although I am not yet their client the person I spoke to on the phone with a number of questions was very patient and helpful. Stephen Parrott rang me back promptly and took the time and trouble to give me much extremely helpful information and advice. I could not have asked for more. I had already decided for a number of reasons that they were my solicitors of choice. I am now completely certain I made the right choice and will be contacting them to act for me for a couple of matters very soon, as well as in the future.

   We are local to Belper and chose Killingworth and Parrot to help us with all legal matters when we sold our property, they were significantly cheaper than the estate agents suggested solicitors and didn't waste any time on getting on with the job in hand. Throughout the whole process they were curtious and professional with regular updates and always friendly conversations had with all members of staff. We found them to be level headed and knowledgeable at all times. With it being local too we could easily pickup and drop off paperwork quickly which is an added bonus when selling a house especially if you want a speedy process. A pleasure to deal with and highly recommended.

   Had to deal with them as my ex was taking me off the deeds. Had to travel 30 miles there and back to take them my I'd. Said papers were ok after me telling them I wasn't using a solicitor then sent them back saying they weren't ok expected me to pay to return them. Payed a solicitor and he told me that if they had used a written statement instead of an oath I wouldn't have needed to pay for him. They even wanted to change me 30 quid plus vat to receive my money. To be honest I have no idea why the bank used these.
