Lucy was very lovely in her customer service in taking out a guinea pig and rabbit for my young cousin to pet :)
First time using this store and would highly recommend, very friendly staff to both me and dog. Asked for help with looking for a coat for her, was helped by a very knowledgeable guy called Matt, chatted to me and my dog too, putting her at ease whilst trying on jackets. Thanks Matt your definitely a credit to your store.
The store is nice overal with friendly staff. I got 2 guinea pigs and the process was very simple and pleasant! I also love their app as i can order remotely hay and pellets in bulk! Prices are quiet good with occasional discounts. My only concern is that there are times when the focus is shifting away from the pets quality of life. Specifically pets at home sells extremely small cages that are profiled as suitable for guinea pigs! Thats not the case as these cages are not even half of the minimum space requirements for guinea pigs and that is very very sad. This needs to change and staff musnt be allowed to promote these cages under any circumstances. Number 1 priority should be ensuring that the pet is going to have a healthy and quality life and this must be reflected through the products that are sold at pets at home.
The Staff in Reading were amazing. Thank you for taking care of Flopsy. (our rabbit) It was lovely to get him back home. Member of staff Carlos was very kind over the phone and in person as well as other staff that served me. Very friendly and helpful. If we decide to adopt another rabbit to join Flopsy, we will be back!
I’m not sure of young man’s name that helped us today but he was great. He was cleaning out the hamsters this morning when we were looking and was really sweet and got one of the guinea pigs out for my daughter to see. It made her morning. He was really helpful and polite letting us know about the session for kids that pets at home do in the week as well. Will definitely be coming back.
Popped into Pets at Home in Reading primarily to pick up live food for our two Rankin dragons. The choice at the time of our visit was limited. However, we picked up a couple of tubs and some other accessories. I was impressed was the cashier who helped me sign up for the VIP club to save 10% off my shopping.
Really good professional help from the staff at pets at home. Has all the products I needed for my new puppy and vets are on site.

This is the best PAH in Reading. Staff friendly, always helpful & know what they're talking about. Great choice of products too.
Friendly staff with a fair variety of stock. The Groom Room did a great job on my golden retriever... Only negative was that I had booked my dog on for an intensive 2 hour grooming session but the member of staff on duty was not trained in "feathering" and so she was unable to finish off my dog's tail and back legs properly.
