   The staff are neither welcoming nor professional. Back in August last year, I took my dog here for grooming, and she ended up with a deep cut. Since it was the weekend, we had to take her to the emergency vet, which cost us over £500. To this day, we haven’t received any reimbursement or compensation. Despite sending multiple complaint emails, we have not received any response or resolution. Extremely disappointing experience.

   So, Reading Groom Room Very happy with the end result but, It does depend on who grooms your dog. I had tried this groom room previously and was hugely disappointed with the end result. I had booked a couple of sesions ahead which I later forgot untill the next booking came around and I went back to the groom room but with trepadation. I made it clear this time that I would not accept the previous groomer working on my dog and this was agreed. I then became concerned when my dog did not want to go into the back room with the groomer and dug her paws in to which, the groomer dragged her, with the lead pulling on tLilah's collar and neck. Naturally I asked her what the hell she thought she was doing, to which she replied that it would be easier if I left. I told her that if she didn't asure me that my dog would be better treated I would leave and with my dog. After assurances by her and the other groomers, I left Lilah in their care. When I returned, in fairness to the Groom Room, Lilah was not overly stressed and the groom was much better than the previous time although the finish could have been better. Another groomer listened to what we had to say and straight away took her scissors and did a wonderful job trimming up Lilah's coat. I dont know this Ladys name but I did ask that she grooms Lilah on the next visit. So as I said at the beginning, It depends who you get. Try if you can to get a reccomendation for a particular groomer.

   Had my puppy booked in for wash and dry their were 5 other dogs, they could here how stressed my dog was and stressing the other dogs with it but still didn't book him in. So I had to leave, they are quick enough to to ring before the appointment to take £15 deposit. But thinking of the health and welfare of a dog they are not !!!

   PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS GROOMER!! I decided to try out the groom room for the first time as it is a convenient location to my work but how much i regret it now! I was there at 9am sharp and the member of staff inside asked me to wait as they weren’t yet ready for me to come in, then I started noticing customers walking in but she didn’t think to call me inside despite having an appointment. There’s no real smile or welcome by staff it’s like a supermarket one in one out. So it already started off not so great. After a long 2 hour 15 minute wait and £52 later this was the appalling groom they provided, he now looks like a sick poorly dog, and to top it off my dog was super stressed after the experience that he pooped himself within Pets at home shop floor as soon as he exited the groom room, shaking the whole way home! I was very specific about how I wanted him to look, I selected the groom grading, showed them an exact photo of how I wanted him to look and all of that was ignored! Expensive, time wasted and just awful! I will never go back To complain I’ve spent 2 days trying to reach them by phone, no answer and everything is online live chat!

   Under new management and is now awful!! - wrong bookings made by the manager - turned up with booking confirmation and was told i was not on the system after waiting 6 weeks for a groom because the first appointment was cancelled!!! - rude voicemails left asking for a deposit for a booking i had not even made. - never answer the phone, not sure how the expect me to pay deposits when they dont answer phone calls??? We wont be returning!

   After trying here a few times and my dog always coming out half finished and very distressed I decided to find a new groomer and thank goodness I did .. its like having a new dog!

   On going to see a vet and pay their consultation fee of £50 or so. I'd prefer not to receive smart sarcasm from a question asked. At least be more professional.

   Didn’t feel comfortable leaving my pup here. Staff were not welcoming. He was distressed and sick when I collected him.
