One of the smaller branches, it has most things from the online catalogue/listings and will get anything else in a few days. The team seem to know everything that you might want to ask about stock and basic pet care. Parking is good and they will help with heavier things.

Today my dad experienced every pet owner's worst nightmare when our tiny Chihuahua was viciously attacked and nearly ripped apart by a massive dog. From the moment my dad rushed into the Pets at Home Vets (Vets4Pets) (oxford road) the team was nothing short of extraordinary. They met our sheer panic with overwhelming support, competence, and incredible speed. There was no waiting; they took our tiny dog into care immediately, starting the process to save his life. Within an astonishing two hours, the team had performed the necessary procedures, including several stitches, and our little fighter was stable. The clinical skill was top-notch, but what truly sets this team apart is their humanity. They understood the emotional and financial strain we were under. They didn't just fix our dog; they took time to ensure my dad and our family felt supported. They went above and beyond by helping us arrange a payment plan instantly thanks to max!!! removing the huge financial anxiety so we could focus on recovery. The vet and the nurses who dealt with this emergency are genuine heroes. They are not just professionals; they are compassionate guardians of animal welfare. A* service from Charlotte. The lovely Charlotte was happy to help and was very knowledgable. Charlotte spent time answering all my 5 year old questions and was happy to show him all the hamsters she even got a guineapig out for him to pet. This place was fantastic, I enjoy coming to this company every single time. It was quite a small yet quaint store, and still sold everything I needed. Lots of hamster items, and for dog and cat too. Staff were friendly and gave great advice and were patient when my app wasn’t working to get me a discount. The rainbow bridge for my hamster was theirs, and the staff member was helpful in finding the right one for my cutie. The cowboy hat and bandanna gave us a great laugh and the hat actually stayed on longer than I thought it would!
I have found most of the staff to be very friendly and helpful with one exception on one occasion. My biggest issue is that I find that I cannot always find the kitten food that our kittens prefer which is disappointing for a large franchise.
They would not sell a hamster to you unless you buy the cage from them. I guess they dont make profit on a 10£ hamster,but when they sell a 90£ cage they do.
They have almost everything in stock. The best thing is the staff, they all love animals and are really good with them. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I brought 2 female Guinea pigs and one died suddenly took he body to the vets and they said that she had something wrong with her heart and I called pets at home up and the manger was very rude and saying they can’t do nothing about it and that the vets where wrong. When I brought them I got told that if anything was wrong with them or one died call them and tell them and they could do something. I’m appalled that they don’t care about there animals or anything wrong with them.
Was so impressed that even though it is in a big brand pet shop, it still maintains a lovely small independent feel. The staff are lovely and the advice given was really good. We felt that the vet cared and wasn't about the getting money which is what we felt at other vets.
